done the very briefest of QA work. I found it very tiring and annoying. I was very surprised by the errors that were being made over and over and over again. It just seemed to be very common sense stuff to me, usually having to do with anatomy or regular English words.

I'm very disappointed that so many people go into MT with tiny little vocabularies, expecting to be able to transcribe intelligently for doctors with MD and PhD degrees and often huge vocabularies. English and medical language skills, punctuation, grammar, and typing on a computer- that's all WE really have to be good at to be good at MT, yet some of us go into it as if all you need to be able to do is type fast. I really don't blame QA folks for needing to vent, especially when my current QA team happens to be very nice, easy to work with and consistently good at what they do.
