It is a war against an emotion...
emotion is what drives these people. There is nothing logical in what they do. You can negotiate and talk to rational people. These people have no interest in compromise or negotiation. They have made that abundantly clear. The word terror was used to describe it because that is the major tactic they use in their "war." They themselves call it a war. It is to them a holy war. I just think it would behoove us to treat them as the serious threat they are...no matter what we call them.

Right on, Just me. It does not have anything to do with politics.

This all started when I tried to bring alternative viewpoints up for discussion. From the get-go, I was met with intolerance and juvenile name calling. The only reason engaged in it was to show just how useless and meaningless the whole exercise can be. Now you, Zville and Lucy have surfaced to point this out and that helps me know that at least that point has been well taken.

I have called for a time out by deciding to remove GT/GW/BW from the forum but so far, I have not been allowed to do so without being subjected to more insult. I will not be answering Sam anymore under this pen name, but rather chose to bow out gracefully and give it a rest.

How do you have a war against an emotion. We have a discrete group of enemies we need to contain - not "fight a war on terror." Slogans are for advertising, not world relations.

Most people voting for Obama are voting on emotion...sm

All that matters is hope and change. At what cost, my friend, at what cost, will your hope and change come at.

He will try to change the very foundation of this country, the constitution, and our very way of life.

If I wanted that, I'd move back to Russia where some of my ancestors came from.

I can recognize socialism and Marxism, even if half the country cannot.

They only care for hope. And change.
