SM, I have not called a truce with you..just because another liberal has..she/he has every right to but not I..you have repeatedly over a few months attacked me personally and ideologically..you have started off debating and then after a few posts of debate have attacked me..I want nothing to do with you..a truce? For how long a day? and then you will start to attack again? Give me a break..There were many times you posted here and the posts were genuine, I thought, and then before you knew it..you could not stand it..the other poster was getting to you..so you would attack like a mad dog..like a fool and attack personally..I dont trust you..frankly, I dont like you..go back to the conservative board where you can attack liberal ideology and pat each other on the back, cause you cant handle really true debate with ideologies other than your own, your previous posts prove it..The only way you could prove to me you want a ****truce**** is to post a few posts that are not attacking and understanding that ALL AMERICANS HAVE A RIGHT TO DIFFERENCE IN OPINION AND DIFFERENT IDEOLOGIES AND NOT ALL BELIEVE IN CONSERVATIVE VIEWS AND YOU STILL RESPECT THEM AS AMERICANS..I dont think you can do it..You dont have it in you..You are obsessed with changing peoples opinions and ideologies and it isnt gonna happen, not through attacks and hateful posts, as you have done..

And I respected that until gt attacked me for no reason. But you are too busy gloating over some silly game you are playing to realize that something was actually accomplished here last night. I don't respect your game. I was pointing out that your silly game actually caused harm. But far be it from a roach to teach you anything. By the way, roaches have been around since the beginning of time, are remarkably resilient and adaptive creatures and have managed to survive despite eons of attempt at extermination. I would hardly call them weak.

I have been off this board a long time and was just discussing with another poster here calling a truce and I was VERY respectful in these posts, but, of course, you had to start up again. To the other poster who I made the truce with, can you see now why there can never be a truce here?
What MY Eyes see s/m
I'm about sick to death of every social ill being laid at the feet of smokers. I also have a big problem with lazy slobs who would rather mooch off the taxpayers than work but if they choose to spend their welfare on tobacco....or gambling....as many in this particular area do and go without food, that's their problem. Welfare is way out of hand. There is something wrong with the law that lets slobs get help they don't need and some elderly or truly diabled person can't qualify for any help because they have worked hard and have a few dollars in the bank. As far as I am concerned there was nothing wrong with the commodities that were issued instead of food stamps before the "new and improved" welfare program. Then they got what they needed to keep them alive and that was about it. So who changed the rules to allow the slobs to be able to buy all the good stuff while you have to skimp? You got it...politicians, Democrats AND Republicans.
If you're looking to either of these 2 candidates to change ANYTHING that will make it easier for you, or people like you, I think you're in for a real disappointment.

We have Muslim people in our church. They will be the first to tell you that are so glad to be out of the country where this is forced upon them. They will be the first to tell you the Q'ran does not speak of love one another, only love another Muslim. They will be the first to tell you that Westerners do not really know the full extent of the hatred that is taught to the men/sons. They will be the first to tell you they are so glad they learned there is really a God that says to love ALL, love your family members even if they are non-believers, and to love those that hate you. Islam does not teach that. You can yack on and on all you want but you can't show me anything verses that say otherwise. They more than you know the Q'ran back to back and will say it does not speak of love of others and to hate all; Jews, Christians, and nonbelievers.
Sadly, why do you assume those that have denounced Islam don't know their feelings of what they have been through more than you?
You immediately jumped to Christians. Why is that? There are those that have left countries where this is taught, do not accept Christianity, but have denounced what they were taught because it is hate.

1. I am not going to decide if she is beautiful or not. That is not my place.
2. I see nothing with the way that she dresses because I have a couple of my sister's kids, who believe me gives me sleepless nights with their fashion sense, but I love them and I think they are the most beautiful people I have ever seen.
3. As a woman, I look in the mirror every day and find things that if I had a good platic surgeon and money.....need I say more? (I would be the nip/tuck queen)....lol but since I do not, then I take the alternative route in believing that I am beautiful (hubby helps by telling me how beautiful I am too even though I know that I am at least 40 pounds overweight).
4. When I look at the picture the only thing that comes to mind is that "she does look healthy" and I would like to find myself in that same position.
5. I suppose it is easy to find fault with others rather than find what is beautiful in someone, but I have NEVER did like the easy way of doing things. Have a good one folks.

I am old enough to remember the 60s. This is not the 60s. This is also not the Vietnam war. This is a whole different and new set of problems (we have AL Queda, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Terrorist who want to see our country destroyed and is most likely possible they have found a way to do it. What better way than to get one of theirs to be our next president. Not to mention all the social and other issues going on today. How I wish it was the 60s again. Life seemed so simple back then (actually I wouldn't mind the 40s/50s).
There is proof Obama was "best buds" with Ayers. Haven't you been reading all the information, watched the videos, read the documentation of eye witnesses, or are you believing only what Obama says... "he was a guy who happened to be in my neighborhood". Obama is running for President. Of course he's going to say that.
Also your statement is incorrect. Ayers is NOT a respected professor (unless you believe that it was okay to do the criminal activities he did). Sure I did some things in my 20s I wouldn't want to be judged on today, but Ayers was just interviewed and he said he is not sorry and that not enough terrorist activies were committed. He also said America makes him want to throw up. Those are his feelings of today - not when he was in his 20s.

I'm so happy that Barack Obama won Iowa that I just twirled circles in my living room like a child! I know there are no guarantees, but I just have such a hopeful feeling right now and I'm enjoying that feeling! For months I have been telling anyone who would listen why I am such a strong supporter of Obama's.
What do you all think about Huckabee winning Iowa? I confess that I don't know much about him (or any of the Republican hopefuls), but you can bet I'll be researching him now that he seems to be the front runner, although honestly I believe chances are VERY slim of a Republican candidate winning the next presidential election!
