Yah know, I believe there IS something

in there somewhere about a man not 'lying with another man as with a woman' (but I just took that to mean lesbianism is perfectly okay.)

And I think most of us did rip the pages out of our bibles about not eating animals with cloven hooves, or shellfish, wearing clothing of mixed fibers and a whole bunch of other hanging offenses.  I seem to remember there's something else about anybody who calls his brother 'thou fool' suffering the fires of h**l.  Talk about not being able to take a joke!

I think the bible is pretty much like the US tax code.  It's really big, and there's something in there to either allow or disallow about everything you might want to do.  Depending on which version you read, and where you look.   I also think if you read a version of the bible where the words of Jesus are printed in red, and you pay close attention to the red, you'll probably do okay.

It was Paul who said 'There are three things that remain: Faith, hope and charity, and the greatest of these is charity' (aka love).  I don't think you can go too far wrong heeding those words too.
