In Reply to: Still think Bush lied about Iraq? - Please read

WMD referred to in most of these quotes were biological and chemical which we all know that he had 7 years ago and previous to that. It is logical to think that he (Saddam)  would want to go further. The truth is that he didn't and we have just as many sources stating that fact.  It was a bald-faced lie that nuclear bombs could be here in 45 minutes. It was a lie that we knew exactly where the WMD  were.  Bush does not think for himself because he does not read - according to him - so he is unable to engage in a process of weighing pros and cons, truths,  half truths and lies. He relies on others to brief him and still other to choose his words when he presents what has been presented to him to us.

Do I think this war was trumped up on fear and half-truths? You bet, and we still don't have any idea how to end the cakewalk. We could get out right now and Iraq would immediately fall into civil war or we could get out later and Iraq would immediately fall into civil war. I hope it does not take 56,000 more dead Americans before we have had enough...that is 58,000 minus the 2,000 already dead and the thousands (since we don't count them) Iraqis who have died simply because they were Iraqis, some of them not old enough to know they even were Iraqis.
