The tolerant party is often the least tolerant among us.

Tolerant and non-judgemental my a$$

and we don't have to be *tolerant* of libs
pushing their ideals down our throat or down our children's throats in public school either....
You do not seriously consider yourself tolerant of other views, do you?
what a joke.
No tolerant teachings at all.......
Their teaching...

The first sura of the Qur'an is an example of this. It is a short prayer that is repeated by devout Muslims each day and ends with these words:

Keep us on the right path. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. (1:6-7)

Muhammad was once asked if these words pertained to Jews and Christians. His response was, "Whom else?" (Bukhari 56:662).
Mighty tolerant huh? sm
No problem with gay marriage but religious prejudice up the butt.

California is my home state and I left because of BS like this.
Wow what a loving, tolerant, and compassionate

little liberal you are...NOT.  You just wished me dead.  How sweet!

Yes, we know, not tolerant, perfectly describes
.
You are just mean period.
You obviously have anger issues. The poster was being respectful while asking questions and you ripped them to shreds. You are a very hateful person. You talk about not judging other people's views and how they live their life, and you judge someone when they just ask you questions. You are very two faced. No wonder this board is not very active. The two or three posters who I see posting here are very mean spirited.
Period.

You know....if we actually stopped

and looked at all the money these politicians spend on travel and other expenses that we the taxpayers pay for......we would want to beat them all with a baseball bat. Then you have people like Gore talking about global warming and then jumping on his personal jet and flying away.... LOL!  So for them to go after Palin like that is just ridiculous.  At least she is giving the clothes the RNC bought to charity when she is done.  Not like Palin is a millionaire like McCain, Obamarama, and sticks foot in mouth often Biden.  As for her family flying on taxpayers expense....they fly commercial airlines and not by personal jet.  Remember....she is the one that sold the personal jet Alaska had for the previous governor because it was wasteful.

I'm so tired of people ragging on Palin on the time.  There are many flaws that the other candidates have as well.  Rag on them for a while.  If you are going to tear the candidates apart....at least tear them all apart and not just one.

You should have stopped with your
of you post is pure incomprehensible babble. Just accept the facts.
That has never stopped anyone here from
They keep whining about the same old s**t over and over. Even when a subject is talked out ad infinitum...
My solution is to get out, period, now.
and I resent having to come up with a solution to a problem that I did not create, an idea that I found ridiculous, that I opposed, that I petitioned, attended rallies with those blood-thirsty Quakers against, and wrote letters to editors, senators, congressmen about. There is nothing to be gained in Iraq.
here we go again. last time period.

(Chris) Matthews is the one with a "thrill up his leg!"

Yes, I AM real.  I don't get that syndrome around members of the opposite sex, or around any politician, for that matter.

Not tolerant of people who exploit God by using religion to lie and distort.

Which is what is being done in this thread by people who claim to know that Phil Donahue is an athiest, which is ridiculous.

But I already said that.

Thank you for providing such a crystal clear example of how you distort the words of others to fit your asinine, completely false, fabricated assumptions about others that you claim to be the *truth*.

Have a lovely day, sweetie, and SMILE.  Life could be so sweet if you'd just let some truth enter it.

Thank you for providing such a crystal clear example of how you distort the words of others to fit your asinine, completely false, fabricated assumptions about others that you claim to be the *truth*. You have completely misjudged and mischaracterized the kind of person I am and adopted it as the truth.

I'm not angry with you.  In fact, I pity you.  It must be very difficult to be you and to constantly live in such a skewed reality, having such a limited ability to communicate with normal people who don't twist everything into a completely opposite meaning.

Have a lovely day, sweetie, and SMILE. Life could be so sweet if you'd just let some love and TRUTH enter your heart.  I'll pray for you.

wow, ignoramus, moron...REAL tolerant Melissa. Not. nm

great post by 'pen', ..tolerant and openminded, thanks!...nm

Question....you tout yourself as open-minded and tolerant....
when are you going to start posting as such? Just curious. Not exactly tolerant and open-minded to make blanket statements about "pubs" when you certainly cannot POSSIBLY know or have talked to every single registered Republican in this country. And how do you know what political affiliation someone is? Do you decide based on how they feel about Barry from Chicago? I myself am registered Independent, and to quote from a post I have seen on this board before but which sums it up...because you have to register as something in this country to vote. I was a Republican once, but they have become Democrats lite. Yes, my politics would be considered conservative. I don't believe the Constitution is a "living" document. I believe is fine as the founders wrote it and not as the ACLU would like it to be re-written. I believe in God. I believe in a free country. I believe in capitalism. I believe in more power at the state level than the federal government level. To name a few. I certainly don't believe in socialism, in making people dependent upon the government for their every need. I believe in hard work as a means to bettering your situation, not handouts from the government paid for on the backs of those willing to work hard. To name just a few. What do YOU believe in besides Barry from Chicago?
Limited government period. nm

It is just a sampling of a 3 year period. TI
Actually, no.  There was much violence when we left Gaza.
Barack is not a socialist NOT NOT PERIOD sm
get ovah your Fox faux news propaganda. Fair tax cuts do not equal socialism. That's really insane. Any day now, the McCain Bush camp is going to say Barack is a commie. Just wait.
Obama groupies don't think period, let alone think for themselves!

You should have stopped at *I blame.* sm
Figures that someone giving a pep talk would turn you off.  Might take the edge off that HATRED and RAGE.  You are beginning to look more and more like the crowds who are looting, raping and shooting, out of control, full of a sense of entitlement and more than a little full of hysterical rage.
It's too bad you stopped reading...sm
Sam brings up valid, positive points, and those on the left turn her off, rather than listen to the truth, because it comes from her.

She isn't bitter at all. It always sounds like the left is, when dealing with her, rather than listen to the truth, even when you expounded so much on the facts. If the facts bear up the right, they must not be facts, are therefore ignored.

McCain DID do something...he stopped...
politicking and went back to Washington to do the job the American taxpayers are paying him for, as a sitting senator (both he and Obama are still sitting senators). I would think Obama would want to know FIRST HAND what is going on and not get his info from pings on his blackberry. I would think he would want to be in the thick of this, considering the economy is on the brink of failure. A debate can wait a few days. Can the economy? This whole thing seems pretty silly to me. It looks to me like McCain his his priorities in order.
Of course and isn't it about time it stopped? n/m

WC stopped when she was pregnant -
at least that is what I remembered hearing on TV.
True Christians strive to be Christ-like, loving, tolerant...sm
nonjudgemental, understanding, washing the feet of the lowliest citizen, feeding the hungry, living life without always saying me, me, me. I could think of a lot of adjectives that would describe what being a Christian means to me but I am seeing none of that here from people whose greatest claim is that they are devout Christians. I hear only fear, lies, hate, biogotry and defensiveness instead of love, truth, hope and light in Jesus name.
Glad to see you are so open-minded and tolerant of diversity, as your party proclaims.
I am not set in my ways, I have embrace some of the liberal notions although not enough to vote that way say far, and welcome INTELLIGENT debate and discussion.  And I'm suppose to be from the party of intolerance and racism.  I think you should reread some of your posts and see who is intolerant.  I don't come here to poke fun at anybody on either side, I come here because I don't get much out of just agreeing with everybody, I like to hear different ideas and to debate the issues.  But, I guess I could find another liberal board where some mature people hang out and I might be welcome to do that, instead of just reading stupid childish jokes and laughing with each other.
Not tolerant of people who mislead and slander, invent fiction and then say it's true.

Coretta King Rejected War (period).

We must remember it was Coretta's funeral, so sentiments were made in HER honor, NOT SUGAR COATED FOR THE BUSHES.

Coretta King Rejected War

Editorial

President Bush may have tried to claim a little bit of the legacy of Coretta Scott King with a warm and generous reference to her at the opening of his State of the Union address this week, but it should be remembered that King was a foe of this president and a frequent critic of his abuses of power.

On the eve of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, King celebrated the anniversary of the birth of her late husband, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., by recalling that the slain civil rights leader had been outspoken in his opposition to unnecessary and unwise wars.

We commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. as a great champion of peace who warned us that war was a poor chisel for carving out a peaceful tomorrow. We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means. Martin said, 'True peace is not just the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice,' Coretta King told a crowd that had gathered at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church. She continued, May his challenge and his example guide and inspire us to seek peaceful alternatives to a war with Iraq and military conflict in the Middle East.

Coretta King continued to speak out against the Bush administration's policy of pre-emptive war-making, and she always make it clear that she disagreed passionately with this president.

Coretta Scott King ponders a reporter's question in front of a painting of her late husband, civil-rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., in this Jan. 14, 2003 file photo from Atlanta.

When Bush showed up to lay a wreath at the Rev. King's grave in January 2004, Coretta King was polite but pointed in her remarks. Before greeting Bush, she said at another event at Ebenezer Baptist that she sided with those who opposed the war rather than supported it, and she lamented the fact that those people are not in charge of making the policies of their nations. If they were, she added, I think we would have more peace and more justice.

There will be many celebrations of Coretta Scott King's brave and inspiring life, as well as her rich legacy of activism.

But none will be so appropriate as those that recall her absolute opposition to this president's illegal and immoral war-making.

It aint gonna happen - it's over for her - period!!!
Do you really want to live under a socialist dictator. If so I think you are in the wrong country. I think there is plenty of room in Cuba or other socialists/communist countries.

Let it rest. She is not going to be president and she is not going to be VP - Even Palosi (sp?) said it's not a good idea. I trust her judgment more than Hillary's and the other feminists pushing for her. Besides...that is just what Obama needs...someone with their hand on the assassination button only too happy to push the button so that she can finally sleeze herself into the seat.

Even the top democrats who kept pushing and pushing for her to be the nominee last night started saying what in the world is going on? Why isn't she conceding? Why isn't she congratulating Barack? Why is she being announced by Terry McAulife as the next president when all votes have been counted and she lost and they know it? Have they totally lost their mind?????

She has no decent characterists about her. Everything is "me, me, me". Not once whenever Barack won a state did she congratulate him, yet everytime she won a state he congratulated her. Now she's giving a speech last night, does not mention the enormous victory this country has finally having a person of color (even though he's half white) win the nomination. Come on - that is a huge victory! And lastly she says "Thank you South Dakota, you had the last word" when Montana's voting booths had not even closed. Oh, which just so happened to be in Barack's favor (oh lets just forget them, their votes don't count because they didn't vote for me). She's a disgrace to the human race! Moreover she's a disgrace to all women!
I don't think Cindy McCain thinks period.
Not at all impressed with her.
Clinton was a worse embarrassment. Period.

OMG -- talking about the dress period is superficial!
Who gives a crap what Michelle Obama was wearing!
There is no reason to resort to this measures - period
But because the current administration is not listening to the top economist, their answer is print money we don't have anything to back it up with. Your lack of education in economics really shows here. It does not matter how much debt someone inherits or makes themselves. You don't print money you have nothing to back it up with. You DO NOT add more debt by adding more trillions then turning around and blaming it on the previous administration. He needs to listen to the economists. "Please stop blaming the fact that we have to resort to these measures on the current administration" Resort to these measures???? Have IQ's dropped that sharply in this short amount of time. He has just increased our deficit in the trillions. This is nothing the previous administration did. This is something that the current administration did, and no fault of the previous administrations. They did this by themselves without the input of anyone with any sense. He didn't have to do this to our country and our children and granchildrens future but he did. So, yes, we are blaming the current administration. This was not the solution to get us out of debt - spend more money. Especially since the "more money" does nothing to stimulate the economy and create jobs. It has gone overseas to other banks and to the most wealthiest in this country. Once again we have another administration who cares nothing (by their own actions) about the American people and getting our economy back on track.
If you had stopped at stating it was from Newsmax...
and not followed that with conservative propaganda in the body of your post...obviously said in an effort to discredit whatever was in the article. I can read between the lines, as can other posters, right and left, I feel sure.
Stopped believing in the boogey man when I was 5.

I thank God Bush stopped having war on US soil after 911! nm
x
Definately time it stopped
Unfortunately, no matter who wins, it's not going to any time soon. Obama would tax those companies to death, so they would move out of the country anyway, while McCain would help them pack. "God have mercy is correct," 'cause we're screwed either way.

And what credible plots were stopped by
Please give one plausible, legitimate terrorist plot targeting our nation that was stopped by his policies.

Maybe if you stopped yawning, you could actually learn
@@
You misunderstand. I don't want this thing to be stopped.
Once this train gets going, it won't be stopped where the loony liberals imagine it will stop. It will go all the way to the end of the line, and that is a prospect that positively fills me with joy because it will take a lot of slimeball Democrats like Obama, Pelosi, Reid and others down with it. You know - the co-conspirators and the liars.

You're the ones who had better act fast. Last time I heard, you guys had an awful lot of criminals to go after. We'll start with Feinstein and her most recent financial corruption and work our way back.

Bring it on, and let's really clean house!
Right, and no rich people means no jobs, period.
nm
Fox lies PERIOD, the rest are just intelligent, can't you tell the difference? nm
nm
Agreed. Teach no bullying or violence, period.
"Lifestyle acceptance" doesn't have to come into it at all. I don't have to accept anyone's lifestyle in order to learn that bullying and violence are not acceptable ways of expressing my disagreement with them.

You see, there's a conflation between the principle of "nonviolence" and "acceptance of lifestyles" going on here, and it's very, very calculated and it's very, very deliberate.

In fact, "acceptance" is really an inadequate basis for nonviolence - if you stop for a moment to think about it - because I am obliged to be nonviolent toward people whose lifestyles not even you would suggest that that I (or my children) should EVER "accept".

You remind me why I stopped voting democrat....(nm)
