He invaded a country and committed horrible atrocities there...

we beat him back, should have taken him in the first Gulf war.  But we're always going overboard trying to be nice and where does that get us?  Same place it got us with N. Korea.  Jimmy Carter barters a deal with them for food, and they take the money and use it to build nukes.  Where's the outrage over that?  Sometimes a people just cannot rise up and oust a dictator.  They need help.  And now the time has come for them to quit squabbling amongst themselves and make something out of their country.  Let's not forget how many years it took for Japan and Germany to get on their feet.  We need to give them a little more time.  Heck, this country dissolved into civil war after 100 years.  Time and patience.

If your country were being occupied, blockaded, constantly invaded...
its economy sabotaged, the geography shrunk and splintered beyond recognition, its population systematically starved in a war of attrition, and the purveyors of apartheid were armed to the teeth with weapons of mass destruction of all sorts, including nukes, tanks, F-16s and biologic and chemical weapons and a military bankrolled by an arrogant world super power while the rest of the world throws up their hands in disgust and turns a blind eye, would you lay down like a dog and take it year, after year, after year for decades on end?
Yes, America is so horrible that nearly everyone from every country on earth sm
wants to live here.  What does that tell you?
This is just a horrible, horrible thing to say, I am speechless...nm....
nm
And we invaded and occupied Iraq....WHY???????

WMD! Yeah, that's it.  Ooops.. No.. that wasn't it.

So we can achieve our very realistic goals of spreading freedom and create a democracy that respects human rights! Uh...nnnnnnnnnnnnnnope.  Oooopss, we can't do that either, just figured out they aren't all that realistic.

Okay.  Got it!  To create "some form of Islamic republic" for the Iraqi people. Yeah.  THAT'S the ticket!  Dang, they're lucky we're there!!!

I, for one, am certainly relieved that all our soldiers and innocent Iraqis died and continue to die for such a good cause ... and... except... but... uh.. EXACTLY WHY DID WE INVADE, DECLARE WAR ON, AND OCCUPY IRAQ AGAIN?

I can totally understand why Cindy Sheehan put herself in Crawford.  I'm just at an increasing loss to be able to understand why Bush put America in Iraq.

US scales back expectations on gains during Iraq transition

Officials now say goals unrealistic

WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration is significantly lowering expectations of what can be achieved in Iraq, recognizing that the United States will have to settle for far less progress than originally envisioned during the transition due to end in four months, according to US officials in Washington and Baghdad.

The United States no longer expects to see a model new democracy, a self-supporting oil industry, or a society where the majority of people are free from serious security or economic challenges, US officials say.

''What we expected to achieve was never realistic given the timetable or what unfolded on the ground," said a senior official involved in policy since the 2003 invasion. ''We are in a process of absorbing the factors of the situation we're in and shedding the unreality that dominated at the beginning."

Administration officials still emphasize how much they have achieved despite the postwar chaos and escalating insurgency. ''Iraqis are taking control of their country, building a free nation that can govern itself, sustain itself, and defend itself. And we're helping Iraqis succeed," President Bush said yesterday in his radio address.

Iraqi officials yesterday struggled to agree on a draft constitution by tomorrow's deadline so the document can be submitted to a vote in October. The political transition would be completed in December by elections for a permanent government.

But the realities of daily life are a constant reminder of how initial US ambitions have not been fulfilled in ways that Americans and Iraqis once anticipated. Many of Baghdad's 6 million people go without electricity for days in 120-degree heat. Parents fearful of kidnapping are keeping children indoors.

Barbers post signs saying they do not shave men, after months of barbers being killed by religious extremists. Ethnic or religious-based militias police the northern and southern portions of Iraq. Analysts estimate that in the whole of Iraq, unemployment is 50 percent to 65 percent.

US officials say no turning point forced a reassessment. ''It happened rather gradually," said the senior official, triggered by everything from the insurgency to shifting budgets to US personnel changes in Baghdad.

The debate over a new constitution has particularly driven home the gap between the original US goals and realities after almost 28 months. The US decision to invade Iraq was justified in part by the goal of establishing a secular and modern Iraq that honors human rights and unites disparate ethnic and religious communities.

But whatever the outcome on specific disputes, the document on which Iraq's future is to be built will require laws to be compliant with Islam. Kurds and Shi'ites are expecting de facto long-term political privileges. And women's rights will not be as firmly entrenched as Washington has tried to insist, US officials and Iraq analysts say.

''We set out to establish a democracy, but we're slowly realizing we will have some form of Islamic republic," said another US official familiar with policy-making from the beginning, who like some others interviewed would speak candidly only on the condition of anonymity. ''That process is being repeated all over."

US officials now acknowledge that they misread the strength of sentiment among Kurds and Shi'ites to create a special status. The Shi'ites' request this month for autonomy to be guaranteed in the constitution stunned the Bush administration, even after two years of intense intervention in Iraq's political process, they said.

In the race to meet fall deadlines, the process of forging national unity behind the constitution is largely being scrapped, current and former officials involved in the transition said.

The goal now is to ensure a constitution that can be easily amended later so Iraq can grow into a democracy, US officials say.

Meanwhile, the US military reported today that three US soldiers were killed and another was wounded when their patrol struck a roadside bomb in northern Iraq, according to the Associated Press. The attack at Tuz, about 110 miles north of Baghdad, occurred late on Friday, the military said in a statement. "

US forces have invaded Syria

New War?
U.S. forces have invaded Syria
by Dan Simpson
(Member of the editorial boards of The [Toledo] Blade and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

AS I suspected six months ago, and U.S. military and Bush Administration civilian officials confirmed, U.S. forces have invaded Syria and engaged in combat with Syrian forces.

An unknown number of Syrians are acknowledged to have been killed; the number of Americans - if any - who have died so far has not yet been revealed by the U.S. sources, who, by the way, insist on remaining faceless and nameless.

On the U.S. side, no declaration of war preceded the invasion of Syria, in spite of the requirements of the War Powers Act of 1973. There is no indication that Congress was involved in the decision to go in. If members were briefed, none of them has chosen to share that important information with the American people.

Presumably, the Bush Administration's intention is simply to add any casualties of the Syrian conflict to those of the war in Iraq, which now stand at 1,970. The financial cost of expanding the war to Syria would also presumably be added to the cost of the Iraq war, now estimated at $201 billion.

Is there any advantage at all to the United States, or to Israel, in replicating Iraq in Syria? For that is what is at stake. Syria in its political, ethnic, and religious structure is very similar to Iraq. Iraq, prior to the U.S. bust-up, was ruled by a Sunni minority, with a Shiite majority and Kurdish and Christian minorities.

Syria is ruled by an Alawite minority, with a Sunni majority and Kurdish and Christian minorities. That is the structure, not unlike many states in the Middle East, that the Bush Administration is in the process of hacking away at.

What needs to be done now is for the Congress, and through them, the American people, the United Nations, and America's allies, the ones who are left, to have the opportunity to express their thoughts on America's expanding the Iraq war to Syria. A decision to invade Syria is not a decision for Mr. Bush, heading a beleaguered administration, to make for us on his own.

And didn't we help Iran out when they were being invaded?(nm)

.

Did we know the scope of his atrocities then?
I'm going to have research that a little bit, because I was just a kid in the eighties. I don't know the exact year the turning point happened with Iraq.

I have a question for you though, would you like to see Saddam back in power? I'm just kind of wondering whose side you're on?
There are atrocities in lots of countries
and nobody seems to give a dam@. We are only interested in countries that have something we want.
Interestingly, other atrocities on US soil...(sm)

since 9/11 have not come from the usual suspects, but rather from our own government.  I'm going to go with the patriot act that pretty much killed the constitution, an unjust war that has not only killed numerous Americans but has also destroyed any credibility of the US, and then there's Gitmo and torture, all perpetrated right here in the good ol USA.

If those aren't atrocities, I don't know what is.

It's not that he had sex, he committed perjury

It's not JUST that he lied to the American people (you're right...he could've kept his mouth shut then), but it's the fact he also lied UNDER OATH which is a crime for which he was rightly impeached.

Now, when a Republican shakes his foot in a bathroom then suddenly his sex life becomes impeachable fodder to the libs, but don't pick on poor Bill Clinton!  He's different!

In my view either they're all held to the same standard or they're not, and if you say that Republicans should be held to a higher standard simply because they profess *values* then you're admitting liberal Democrats have none.  Can't have it both ways.

I never said that he committed a crime...
nor did I ever say I found him personally offensive. I do not believe that he will make a good president because I disagree with his stance on most of the issues that I find important. I also believe that he made a lot of promises that he can never keep because he does not have that power. Personally, I am not all that into the birth certificate thing because I think he probably is a natural born citizen. I find it hard to believe that he would have made it this far were he not. Why is it okay for people to dislike Bush, but I MUST like Obama?
atrocities? Burned alive with saline....
sliced and diced and sucked out of the one place you should be SAFEST? Having a needle stuck in your neck and your brain sucked out? And you want to talk atrocities?? Puleezzee. Yeah..that's certainly just YOU...it certainly isn't me.
Then Again, how many would have lived and suffered atrocities if Hitler's mom had had an abortion
I am not trying to be flip or funny here, because it is not, but I do not think we can use that particular logic...just say that ALL life is precious, whether a baby grows up to be Einstein, Ghandi, or Charles Manson, it either must ALL be in God's hands because He is Creator of All, or there is no logic. Just wonder how everyone feels about the ultimate sanctity of life when it comes to capital punishment....

Don't get me wrong, I amy be a Democrate, but I am moderate and I DO believe, in instances such as the rape/murder/brulity of children, serial killers, etc, that putting a monster like this to sleep, as you would a rabid animal who will kill and destroy otherwise, is the best thing we can do for our sick society, not perfectly okay, but the best that can be done to protect others. But whenever I see this particular reason NOT to abort, it makes it sound as though if a child were retarded or slow, or even a sociopath (not a psychopath), it would be okay, PLAYING GOD IS PLAYING GOD in either case. IMHO
Yes, I heard about the woman who committed suicide...
and invoking the poor woman to beat me over the head with is the height of nastiness. But about what I would expect from you. I hardly think it was every Republicans' fault it happened, but you sure wanna blame them. Hmmm...hating a whole group of people...sounds like bigot to me.

I suppose you saw the bit about the illegal immigrant in San Francisco who offed a man and his two sons with an AK-47 in a road rage incident?
Maybe you would like to talk to his widow and their mother your take on illegals and how they should enjoy the benefits of citizens. If Mayor Newsom hadn't declared San Fran a sanctuary city and told the police not to work with ICE, that particular illegal would have been deported or in jail a long time ago, since he had 3 or 4 felonies and 3 or 4 recent arrests. A citizen, for pete's sake, would have already been in jail a LONG time ago. So please, if you are going to invoke the poor woman who committed suicide to make your point of hatred of Republicans (which has nothing to do with why the woman committed suicide...she committed suicide because she had kept the degree of the problem away from her husband and he had no idea his house was about to be auctioned off...tell the WHOLE story...which is still a horrible situation but not hardly all Republicans' fault...good grief)...anyway, allow me to invoke the illegal who slaughtered three innocent citizens with an AK-47 for no good reason (as if there was a good reason for slaughtering 3 innoncent people)...which EXACTLY illustrates my point. Gavin Newsom, poster child for the far left, has the blood of those three people on his hands tonight because he IS directly responsible, unlike the millions of Republicans in this country you want to charge with that woman's death. I hope Mr. Newsom has sense enough (to use your lovely words) to be embarrassed and SICKENED by that. But I won't hold my breath.

You have all that hatred churning around in you for an entire group of people just because they are of a thought process different from yours...you once graced me with the definition of bigot, so right back at you:

bigot n. One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ. (your picture should be in Webster next to the definition)

You said:
"The pubs really can be a cold-blooded, mean-spirited bunch of blankety-blanks, being blind to the misery of all the hoi polloi."

"(a mere 12 hours after Bush got his rocks off in the middle of all those laughing pubs)" (wow, you slipped off the highbrow intellectual vocabulary there GW)

Those two quotes (there are way too many more to go hunt) meet the definition of bigot as you posted it to me. And you either don't have the sense (as you accuse me) to realize you are the very thing you accuse me of, or you know dang well you are a bigot and don't care. I would guess the former. I don't think you have any idea you are a bigot, and that's just sad.

You say I am a bigot because of my stand on immigration...I am NOT against legal immigration and have no problem with immigrants as a whole...a point MS miss the point (your words) that you continue to ignore...so that blows your bigot argument right out of the water. But...sigh...ya can't see the forest for the trees.

And no, you did NOT answer my question, because you can't. And that frustrates you, just like it frustrated Obama to be asked the same question by the darling of the left Katie Couric...at least she had the guts to ask, I give her that...and he never DID answer her. Because, like you...he couldn't. You painted yourself into the corner...I didn't put you there.

And finally, dear whoeveryouare, hatred is a wasted emotion and hurts the hater much worse than the hatee.

See ya!

Quotes from when Clinton committed troops to Bosnia:

You can support the troops but not the president. --Rep Tom Delay
(R-TX)

Well, I just think it's a bad idea. What's going to happen is they're
going to be over there for 10, 15, maybe 20 years. --Joe Scarborough
(R-FL)

Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may
come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their
life? --Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

[The] President . . . is once again releasing American military might
on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit
strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will
cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long
they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound
foreign policy. --Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA)

American foreign policy is now one huge big mystery. Simply put, the
administration is trying to lead the world with a feel-good foreign
policy. --Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they
have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy. --Karen
Hughes, speaking on behalf of George W Bush (words are really too big
to have been spoken by GWB)

I had doubts about the bombing campaign from the beginning ... I
didn't think we had done enough in the diplomatic area. --Senator
Trent Lott (R-MS)

I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it
is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just
learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with
very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later,
these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of
engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of
victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no
clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our over-extended
military. There is no explanation defining what vital national
interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the
President started this thing, and there still is no plan today --Rep
Tom Delay (R-TX)

Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to
explain to us what the exit strategy is . --Governor George W. Bush
(R-TX)

Funny thing is, we won that war without a single AMERICAN killed in
action.  Bush can't make that claim now!  And where is HIS exit
strategy?

Do you think Bush committed perjury with the American people?
or is that just "business as usual" to go to war without any truth whatsoever.  Hmmm....perjury.... out and out lies.... how far do you want to go with the truth?  Perjury versus death......I take perjury, thank you very much.  By the way, when, if ever, do you think Bush will ever have to tell the truth, or is just a waste of time asking for the truth as someone else posted he will be out of office soon, so let him go....yada yada yada.  But I will say that the Dems have to get their backs up and get on him big time.....so tired of lie after lie after humungous lie from this admin, and I couldn't be happier that he will be leaving, if we are still the United States of America as I knew it when I was growing up... that United States of America is long gone thanks to liars like Bush and his ilk. Perjury....hmmm.
Once I found out John McCain committed adultery

claiming "he made a mistake" I never trusted him.  Once a cheater, pretty much always a cheater.  If he can't take wedding vows seriously, then how could he possibly take running this country and being true to the American people seriously?  Trust is a huge issue.  I now trust the American people and I've always trusted that Barack Obama was in it to "win it."  What a battleground for him to endure.

I think that it is up to all of us to make this a better country, not just the President.  We all have work to do.  I believe that this historical moment in our society will give us the change we need.  It will empower people, young, old, and of any nationality to become winners.

As far as spreading the wealth, yes, I believe that is the key, but wealth doesn't necessarily come in a monetary sense.  It comes from the heart.  When you are happy and your country is happy, that is being wealthy.

We can thank our forefathers and the beautiful soil in which we prosper for what we have today.  I have way more than my parents ever had, and am thankful for that.  We will prosper because "yes we can."  The key word here is "we."

May be horrible. Unfortunately, it seems to
nm
Oh he is just horrible. I know what you mean.nm
x
OMG...that is horrible!!!

Only 55 and too old for a CABG.  How sad is that?  That must have been horrible for your friend and her family!

Is this what we really want America?  Listen up Kool-Aid drinkers!!!!  Is that what you really want in health care?

Horrible for her family...
and hearing the candidates' (both sides) reactions to it have been interesting. All have the similar thread tho...must preserve democracy in Pakistan.
Didn't see anything horrible
I did some checking on the man and found nothing too bad. A few minor issues with "bad spending" that were cleared up. He does seem to have a very liberal viewpoint, but I certainly would not call him crazy. Seems like he has done a lot for SLC, including landing the Winter Olympics, which brought a ton of money there.

In his private career, seems like he did a lot of work for the poor and several civil rights cases. I guess that would make some conservatives a little afraid of him :-)
yes it's really horrible when someone so much smarter than you
she doesn't bully or monopolize
I also agree. Horrible to think that way.nm

you horrible atheist
I have been called lots of really nice things on this board myself!  SO WHAT.  Be a big girl already!
What a horrible idea!
First, why should people who purchased homes that they cannot afford be rewarded by having their mortgages paid off? Second, what about people who were smart enough not to commit themselves to a mortgage they could not afford and are renting? I think it is beyond hypocritical of the conservatives on this board to complain about people wanting to be given something for nothing and then make a complete 180-degree turn when they are the ones on the receiving end. You signed up for the mortgage, you pay it. I am not contributing one penny to your bad judgment!
Isn't it horrible - see message
Right now it's just so bad I'm not blaming anyone for it. It's like being on a ship sinking, your too busy worrying about how to save yourselves you don't care anymore who put the hole in the boat. Think there's plenty of blame to go to everyone, but it's happening all over the world. Every day my husband tells me about riots and stuff going on in other countries. I just wonder if it will ever work its way out. I hear economist saying its going to take about four or five years, so now it's just struggling to survive.
It is such a horrible thing when

the American people disagree with the democrats who want to spend spend and spend more of OUR money.  I guess that makes us a bunch of bumbling idiots, huh?

And you know what's funny....a bunch of these same Americans who don't like Democrats spending OUR money are the same people who didn't like it when the pubs were spending OUR money.

Then you have the ones who didn't mind when the pubs spent the money but hate that the dems are and vice versa.  Double standards....all double standards.  If McCain had won and was spending all this money, you would be spitting nails right now.

It must have been so horrible that O preferred not to
release the memos and the pictures.
And there are also some among them who are not yet proven guilty and are tortured until they admit.
No. I love the country side in Alabama...I'm a country girl...nm

Yes rape has got to be one of the most vile acts and I can't imagine how I'd feel if it happened to one of my family but what she did was absolutely dreadful. Not saying the guy didn't deserve to be punished, but to stoop so low and do to another human being something so awful, makes me wonder which one is worse.

I don't care how much you hate someone or how much rage you feel. There is never a good reason to commit violence, and of that type. Yes her daughter suffered through a rape, but the thought of what a human being was going through while they are in the process of dying in that fashion is just too much and makes me sad.

I believe that the lady and her daughter should have gone to counceling to work out their frustrations of injustice done to her daughter. If they were going to counceling maybe they should have switched counselors.

I will never think something like what she did is okay to do.

I feel sad for the daughter (rape victim) and the lady's family and also the family members of the rapist to know their relative suffered such a horror.

I hope the lady sits in jail and and gets the counseling she needs and I hope she doesn't get out for a long time.
I understand that is a horrible situation for
it's not my responsibility to pay a mortgage for someone who had no business getting one in the first place. I have to pay my bills and my mortgage; they should never have had a mortgage.

Right with you there, too!! I have horrible environmental allergies!...nm
nm
Horrible signs were stating
x
Yeah, those horrible signs

Who do they think they are, gathering and exercising their first amendment rights like that?  And  all those signs came from republican central planning, didn't they?  Maybe there could have been heavier attendance, but many of the potential supporters actually have jobs.

The MMM was organized by Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.  It would have been soooooo politically incorrect before, during and after the million man march to characterize all the participants as nuts, sexist racist kooks with a single hateful agenda, trouble makers, disgruntled black men just looking to cause problems.

Yet the reverse is excactly how tea party participants were portrayed, which is okey-dokey with most people.

In the dish it out/take it department, the left has pretty a sweet deal because they can say the most prejudiced, outrageous things about the right and get by with it.  But when the right criticizes the left it is always claimed that we are selfish, racist, sexist, homophobic bigots.  It's not about your race, your gender, or your lifestyle.  It's about socialism versus capitalism, okay?

You are so right in your post, but you have to admit that in these horrible times particularly.....s
There are 50 and even 60-year-old workers who are filing unemployment for the first time in their lives, never thought they would, and are humiliated to do so! When there are no jobs to be found, and there is no money coming in, we do owe a hand up to our fellow man. Remember, Jesus said "for as much as you give to the least of my children, you do it unto me." There is welfare abuse, but saying that this is the main cause of our economic collapse or the major social problem is like saying that Jack the Ripper had a bad temper!! Desperate times bring desperate measures, it is good if you and I can to go bed with a full belly and a roof over our heads, but what about those WHO WILL NOT if they do not get help until they get back on their feet? Hey, I know some of those abusers and it gripes me to no end because my husband and I are working every available minute to raise our three planned, beloved kids. But atrocities like the OCTO-MOM and her 14 kids is the freakish, sad deviation from the norm, the bad exception. Do not condemn social awareness and social responsibility to those who truly need and deserve it, and that is more and more folks these days!! (off soap box for now, I think!!)
It's like watching a horrible car crash in really slow motion.

Yes killing this country - have you been out of the country the last 3 months or so
Don't you have a clue as to what is happening in America? Where have you been? Don't you listen to what is happening or are you still drinking the kool-aid. That time is over. Put the aid down and wake up. The country is being destroyed. These have been the worst 4 months in the history of bad presidents. Foreclosures are on the rise, unemployment is on the rise, 3+ trillion more in deficit and on the rise, companies shutting down, Clinton for SoS. Napolitano - one of the biggest tragedies to happen to America. The list goes on and on and on and on.

Dubya is not in office anymore. You think dubya "pulled the trigger", well the O keeps reloading it and continues to pull the trigger.
Obama is letting them drop charges against terrorists for this horrible sick crime???

What orifice did you pull this out of?

this country

Please remember this country and its founding Christian principles were legislated by slave-owners, a practice that was condoned for another 100 years in this country, along with the near-annihilation of this country's indigenous peoples.

The past may not be as rosy as you might paint it to be.

Well, I don't think this country had anything to do with it....
and I don't think Musharraf himself had anything to do with it. That is not to say that radicals within the intelligence services of Pakistan did not have a hand in it. The way it was done, they probably did. With the goal in mind of stopping the elections and causing destabilization...and perhaps a chance to get their hands on nukes, that we all know Pakistan has. Nukes ready to use.

This is a very scary event, folks. Not just for Pakistan...for the world.
Just as an aside....if you really look at what is going on in this country....
Ron Paul is more of a threat than you think. Evangelical Christians want someone pro-life and they are not going to get it with Guiliani...and whether you believe it or not, there are a LOT of them out there. And a lot of young people are looking at Paul, and that is young people on BOTH sides of the political spectrum. And in most all issues, Ron Paul is a strict conservative. And a lot of people out there are VERY sick of tax and spend...even a lot of Democrats...hence the Congress approval rating LESS than Bush's. There is a ground swell going on out there that could very well take over and tsunami the Dem candidate...and if the candidate is Hillary I would be willing to BET it will happen. Your worst nightmare realized. A true conservative in the White House and a Congress to help him turn things around. The purse strings are sure to really tighten (which is what I meant by gravy train about to end...by that I meant the endless tax and spend tax and spend).

Almost makes one giddy thinking about it.

I myself have a couple of real problems with Ron Paul...however...I could get behind him easier than I could Guiliani and so could a LOT of conservatives out there. So....I wouldn't be trashing Ron Paul and hawking that split the vote thing too loud...it could come back to bite you.

Have a good day!
country first

Theme of RNC.  Sarah Palin was member of a group who advocated Alaska seceding from United States.  Who first?  Wno on second?

How are you get along with a country...
run by a man who calls for the annihilation of another country? As Ahmadinejad has said ad nauseam. Sure Mahmoud, let's sit down and talk about obliterating Israel. And that pesky little Death To America slogan...we need to talk about that. Have some tea.
Probably do everything they can to keep this country
from going to h*ll in a hand basket!!!!!
but it's okay with me if the country
x
If we had done to their country
We would have been in jail. Can you imagine going to a foreign country, standing on a corner until you got a job, sending your kids to school even though they did not speak the language and expecting to be accommodated, buying a house, car, getting a foreign credit card, not paying taxes, sending the money out of the country, and then trying to say you had rights to citizenship? It really boggles my mind when I think about it. And in my neighborhood we just loved and accepted everyone who came and were gracious and generous. I even took Spanish classes so I could speak to my neighbors. Then they left. They lost their jobs and they lost their homes and they left. The whole neighborhood is devastated, the school closed down and the houses are all empty. The really funny thing is to even get a job for awhile in my area, you had to be able to speak Spanish! What can you say, but that is absolutely insane!
