But of course, I am probably lying.  I'll say it first so you don't have to.  Unless you just want to that is.

Sorry, wrong spot, I have reposted above.

Yes I did, sbMT. Posted this in the wrong spot.

wrong, full of wrong statements, see my upper post...nm

took my post wrong way
I did not say Im in any jewish discussion groups.  I can get that at home with my family.  They are mostly all jewish, some stricter than others, most moderate or non practicing, as I am.  However, I was in a Kaballah discussion group for about two years a few years ago.  Very interesting.  All I said was, if you want to learn more how jews feel about Israel and leaving Gaza, etc., join a discussion group or go to your local synagogue, they always have classes to teach non jews about being jewish.  I meant no harm in my post, you have taken it wrongly.  I dont know how many exactly side with Sharon or the settlers, however, I know from my family and friends and what I have experienced in life that the Holy Land has to be shared with both jews and palestineans, gosh, when it comes down to it, they are brothers and sisters.  That is the only way for peace.  Many jews that advocate staying in Gaza are orthodox jews and from my experience, they are not the nicest people around.  That I know, I have met quite a few, growing up in NYC and Brooklyn, right down the block from the Jewish Defense League.  My cousin, who is a jew, married a catholic.  She became a jew yet the orthodox synagogue would not accept her and when they had children, they were not considered jewish, in the orthodox eyes.  Well, my cousin and his family joined a more moderate non orthodox synagogue who accepted his wife and family.  From what I see, for many years, gosh most of my life, being jewish was not too cool, unless you lived in a NY jewish area (which I did).  Even christians did not care one way or the other for jews.  However, nowadays, christians think these are the end times, so they are trying to band together with jews.  This has happened only recently and that is great, we should all band together, however, christians try to paint a pretty picture about how alike jews and christians are and they arent.  Im not trying to give a sermon here, Im just telling you..actually too much about my life, LOL..
Then you read my post wrong.
I don't know what conversations have occurred on either board.  I was mainly interested in why you and gt would made the assertion that somehow conservatives don't care about child molestation.  Frankly, I was rather taken aback.  I have never even seen the far left pin that one on conservatives.  My posts have been respectful totally.  I thought you wanted debate.  I made that mistake one other time on this board.  I won't make it again.
You read my post wrong
It is strange that this particular vet has had reported so many incidents with anti-war folks.  The death threat was from a white supremist, by the way.
Wrong. See post below. He tried to stop this...
in 2005. Dems blocked it.
Sorry, replied to the wrong post.
I meant to reply to the conservative way post.
No, Bridger. There is nothing wrong with my post.

I made my comments before I posted a couple of excerpts (allowed to do), I posted the link not once but twice just to ensure if one did not work the other would (not specified in law but something I always do).

Now, you might not like the article I posted, but I complied with copyright laws.

Is it too difficult a thing for you to research copyright infringement laws?

I will guarantee you that boards such as this have been brought down for such violations.  Do not be a part of the problem but a part of the solution.  Reign yourself in before smeone else does.

There are so many things wrong with your post
You remind me of Joe Biden - the gift to conservatives that just keeps on giving every time your brain tricks you into thinking you have something to say.

First, you don't know that "these people" did anything with respect to anyone's rights.

Second, if by "rights" you mean marriage, marriage isn't a right.

Third, just who is it that guarantees that if Christians (the word IS capitalized, incidentally) "get out of the business of government", the government will get out of the business of things like they're doing here?

I could go on...and on...but you get the drift, don't you? Learn how to think instead of pumping junk sociopolitical philosophy.

What is wrong with you people. Post, ignore,
nm
Wrong fact. From his own words, did you not read the post...
he was afraid that if it passed it might be used in some way to change Roe v Wade and was willing to sacrifice babies born alive on the altar of choice.

Not scare tactics. the truth.
Maybe she will run for the top spot in 4 years...who knows??
Yeahhhh.
Tina Fey spot on again. sm

Though I am sure Palin "did not watch it, kept the volume all the way down and could not hear a thing she said".  Yeah.  Sure.  We are all stupid enough to believe that.

voting on the spot ---
They voted, but again the paperwork had to be turned into the polling offices to be counted and if the registration does not match up or is not legal, then the vote is not counted.  That is why they are being looked at for "registration fraud".  There is no voter fraud until an illegal vote is actually counted.
The guy who said it was their own fault was spot on...SM

We see on here naive individuals who say "it can't happen here, we have the second amendment". These people are our enemy within.

Many nations are now disarmed and the United Nations goal is the ban of all small arms. Do you know anyone who likes the United Nations? That's right the messiah.

Some interesting Hitler quotes. A few years ago many could be found. today it's tougher to find them, and the one about gun control that was common 20 years ago some sites say is false. Most of his gun control quotes are missing. Interesting.

This one is reported true from one site:

Quote:
This year will go down in history! For the first time a civilised nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead in the future!” Adolph Hitler, 1935.

Yet reported as false from another. I think the first I seen this quote was in the early 1980's. Two years ago it was common on the internet. When I first seen it years ago the date and place were also included. Was it false, or what gives.

I checked further and found this in a historical reference.

Quote:
The Nazis did pass a weapons law in 1938, but that only added restrictions to the previous law, especially for Jews and other "non-citizens."

They say a very restrictive law was already in place and did not require Hitler to do anything but strengthen it.

Quote:
This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!

The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms.

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.

I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few.

Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.

Sooner will a camel pass through a needle's eye than a great man be "discovered" by an election.

Sooner will a camel pass through a needle's eye than a great man be "discovered" by an election.

What good fortune for governments that the people do not think.

When an opponent declares, "I will not come over to your side," I calmly say, "Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community."
Adolf Hitler
Speech November 1933, quoted in The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer

What luck for rulers, that men do not think.

Very well put Tired MT. Your analysis is spot on. sm
I have been reading the posts for quite a while and I have to agree with you. If you don't agree with political viewpoints on this board, you are jumped on with both feet. I have been on the receiving end of it alos. I figure it this way, I must have really struck a nerve to get people so incensed that they go ballistic. I do have to say that Sam can more than hold her own and I love reading what she has to say. Kudos to Sam for having the courage of her convictions and kudos to you for putting a finger on the problem.
Excellent article that is spot on !! nm

Maybe we should nominate HIM for a cabinet spot?....
He would have my vote. I like his thinking. I am more than ready to retire.
I love your very spot-on, colorful description!!

Wow, spot on . . .10 billions dollars a month . . .
for that war.  For what?   OIL.  That money could go a long way to making sure EVERYBODY had healthcare and dramatically speed up the process of developing alternative energy sources!  Why can no one see how much sense this makes?

I'm going to keep ignoring these troll posts.  It's kind of fun, actually, just pretend you don't see them.
Post the direct link. I don't see the post you're referring to.

I imagine there are as many emotions and thoughts going on with our troops as possible and each does not feel the same as the other, which is obvious by the posts here.
Sorry gourdpainter, my other post should have been under the wacky Pakistan post (nm)

Why did you post this? Republicans have been asked NOT to post here..Bye Bye.
Why did you post this?  Happy Thanksgiving is enough but to be so happy we have a republican president?  Why did you post that?  I would like to remind you, you are on the liberal board.  Are you trying to start trouble?  If so, let me know and I will report you immediately.  No, Im not happy we have a republican president, a warmonger chickenhawk president.  Does that answer your question?  Now, go back to the republican board.  We dont want you here and actually the moderator and administrator have asked republicans not to post here..Bye..bye..
Forgot to post a link in 1st post. Sorry.

or the poster as ignorant. And I certainly never sunk to the levels you did at the top of the post, against a man who is ill in a wheelchair. Pot calling the kettle black...?
I re-read your post, and I stand by my post.
You are twisting his words by saying that he wants to make friends with terrorists. That is not what he said.
Ya gotta understand the rules. We have to post on this board only. They can post on any board they

You're right. Something is definitely wrong

Not with the priests who do the molesting.

Not with the Senator who absolves the priests of blame and instead blames the Liberals.

No.  Instead something is definitely wrong with ME for my outrage that a Republican Senator can make such an outlandish, IRRESPONSIBLE statement, instead of trying to SAVE these children and condemning what the priests are doing.  Unfortunately, this is typical of the Republican party these days.  Typical of the "We are perfect and make no mistakes" mentality that's prevalent in this country.  They couldn't be honest if their lives depended on it.

Well, tell us what's wo wrong about what he says?
You can't, because he just pegged the lot of you like he always does which is why he has the top rated radio show in the country
You got it wrong....
Many of us liberals do not have delicate thoughts about terrorists.  But get it through your brain, if you can, that many of us feel that invading Iraq for oil and power WAS NOT THE WAY TO attack or deal with the terrorists.  Apparently they're mostly in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and what are we doing?  Messing around in Iraq.  We are LESS safe and I think time will prove that.
WRONG. You know what is

Not everyone is a liar.  Only the ones who have done it on this board before and don't deserve to be trusted or believed again.

It's quite simple. If you want to be believed, stop lying.

Then that was wrong
absolutely wrong, and the teacher and school administration were clearly in the wrong.   Shouldn't have happened, period.
Wrong.

What posts are you talking about?  Either I wasn't here then or you're wrong.  I've read through most of the posts but don't remember seeing that.  Prove it.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??!

You called her an elitist pig, claiming to mean it in a good way.

She replied with Yup, elistist pig here..Yeehhaaww~~

And now you’re claiming she said she speaks for God.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??!

So was I wrong? And if not...
...what are you getting so huffy about? Just for the fun of it? There's no arrogance in assuming you aren't one of the 1% of the richest people in the country. It's a natural assumption considering you spend so much time here, and why would you bother if you could be off doing whatever pleased you with money being no object? I'm certainly not one of the 1% and you bet I'd be doing something rather than putting up with your petty indignation if I had a virtually limitless income. So I didn't assume a thing about you that you were not free to assume about me in return. What's the big deal -? Are you ashamed anyone might think you're not in the top 1% of wealthiest Americans? Mighty fragile ego, that. Better face reality and get a grip - that's a pretty exclusive club.
What is WRONG with you? sm
Seriously what IS wrong with you?  This has nothing to do with anything in this thread.  Except yet one more occasion to use the word LIAR.
WRONG!

I corrected myself.  I admitted to my mistakes.  I always admit to my mistakes, and believe me, I make a lot of them.  I'm even harsher on me than the neocons are.

If the neocons could just admit to theirs, the dialogue might be more productive.

and *what if* you are wrong?

We both could be wrong.  I find debating what if's a waste of time.

The simple answer to any what if question is:

If you're right then I'm wrong.  However, I find dealing in knowns a better way to logistically deal with any scenario.  You can what if yourself all day long and never get anywhere.

Wrong. nm
  Richard Cohen was right.  Sad.
You are all three wrong. TI

Despite the UN ruling that Israel completed its withdrawal from southern Lebanon (UN, June 18, 2000), Hizballah and the Lebanese government insist that Israel still holds Lebanese territory in eastern Mount Dov, a 100-square-mile, largely uninhabited patch called Shebaa Farms. This claim provides Hizballah with a pretext to continue its activities against Israel. Thus, after kidnapping three Israeli soldiers in that area, it announced that they were captured on Lebanese soil.  Israel, which has built a series of observation posts on strategic hilltops in the area, maintains that the land was captured from Syria; nevertheless, the Syrians have supported Hizballah's claim. According to the Washington Post, the controversy benefits each of the Arab parties. For Syria, it means Hizballah can still be used to keep the Israelis off balance; for Lebanon, it provides a way to apply pressure over issues, like the return of Lebanese prisoners still held in Israeli jails. For Hezbollah, it is a reason to keep its militia armed and active, providing a ready new goal for a resistance movement that otherwise had nothing left to resist. In January 2005, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution condemning violence along the Israel-Lebanon border and reasserted that the Lebanese claim to the Shebaa farms area is not compatible with Security Council resolutions.
