I don't recall Clinton using taxpayer money for expensive little sex jaunts to ANOTHER COUNTRY!! Duh! I'm sure the good people of South Carolina don't appreciate their stupid hypocrite of a governor, the same governor that wanted to turn down stimulus money for their state, the same governor who also had the gall to to be all self-righteous about Cllinton, the same governor that ignored his own children on Father's Day, lying, deceiving and cheating them. As for Sarah Palin, I don't hate her, I don't know her. All I know is that she is a very poor pick for VP especially for a man who is 72. She has no credentials to do the President's job. Oooo, but Obama has no experience.... Well, he has been all over the world, has met with different heads of state, has been fully vetted, has lived a life that he knows different kinds/types of people, and he is very intelligent. In all honesty, Sarah Palin does not answer one question with the intelligence that satisfies me, and she dances all around the questions she does not know how to answer. If she isn't coached, she doesn't do very well. When she is coached, that is her pat answer for the entire episode of questioning. Not very smart, not good for America, McCain did not put Country First, he put McCain First. All a political ploy, and the right fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Wonder how much electricity and energy it takes to heat his mansion, yet people like me in my 2 bedroom apartment are suppose to cut back more (so he can go on enjoying the good life). The fact of the matter is that Palin was correct last night. She said people do contribute, however, it is also part of the climate. People need to start ignore Algore and all of his infinite wisdom (NOT) and start listening to the people who have been studying this for years. In my case, I take 20 (yes 20) meds to keep going; I have horrible autoimmune diseases. But you know what? I would rather take them and keep working, keep learning, and set an example for my kids NOT TO GIVE UP rather than go an file for SSDI/disability; I was told I could probably get it easily eough, but I get a pride and sense of accomplishment and worth from my work that is GOOD for me, and as long as I can satisfy my bosses, I will keep working, God willing. People who are healthy do not understand needing so many meds and doctors and tests, and even with insurance what the co-pays add up to.....THOUSANDS. Bringing up three children is also costly, though absolutely priceless and the best thing I ever did with my life. We are at a point in economic history where it has NEVER been more expensive to feed, clothe, house, give medial/dental care to, and help with education for children....and I am not crying, whining, or looking for a martydom medal. Just trying my ultimate best each day, and thought the wage thing MIGHT be one of many solutions, what we have been doing in the past HAS NOT WORKED for so many reasons. Anyway, I truly hope you personally are doing much, much better these days, it takes time and faith, but life CAN get better...all the best to you!!

In my opinion, the biggest problem in
Washington is the Lobbyists. We need to get rid of them. They are not there for the American people, they are there for their own interests - the companies that they do work for. Both sides have them - I know Biden's son was one and McCain has what, 7 of them on his team. So it is a bipartisan problem.
I don't believe Universal healthcare is the only answer, but I do believe some sort of a plan would be beneficial. I have friends that live in different parts of the world, Sweden, France, and England - they have healthcare plans and they are a lot better than anything I get with my insurance. They may pay more in taxes, but by my calculations it is what I would be paying in premiums and deductibles anyway.

My biggest problem with religion
is this....what makes me right and so many wrong. It often makes me wonder if all religions aren't based on the same "God" because so many stories in their "holy books" are similar, etc. I just wonder if people broke up and interpreted things differently and took one belief and transformed it into several religions under different names. Did that make sense?
Wouldn't it just blow your mind if we are all sitting around and arguing about whose religion has it right when they all stem from the "god"? Hmmm....makes you think or at least it makes me think.

Can we bring the board back to the true reason for the board
Can we get the political board back to the true purpose of this board – to share opinions of why we like our candidate. Not bash and cut down others because they don’t agree with you.
I stayed away from this board for the past couple days because anyone who had anything positive to say about Sarah Palin got slammed, bashed, kicked down, etc. After awhile I found it all too draining, and was not seeing any reason to come. Yes, I did see some of it towards people who favored Barack Obama, but if you read the posts again it is mostly towards anyone who favored Sarah Palin/John McCain.
I thought the political board was for posting information regarding politics and candidates. What I have seen for the past few days is that it has been an attack board. Especially if you have anything positive you want to share about Sarah Palin. You say something good about her and you get attacked, you answer back, and you get attacked more, and then when you get mad and pretty much say stop attacking me, they come back with this “Geez, I’m allowed to have an opinion”.
Another thing I am tired of seeing is the slanderous, hate filled, really off the wall comments about Sarah Palin. The latest was something about her daughter actually had her baby. Talk about just bizarre comments. I thought what’s next, she’s an alien from another planet? The more I kept reading the more the comments were getting just really weird and bizarre. Of course nobody ever having any proof of any of these allegations. I then came to realize that the posters were just trying to get a fight going.
I also saw posts that had nothing to do with politics but attacking a poster named Sam. Again, probably trying to get another fight going for no good reason and on things that have nothing to do whatsoever with politics. I’ve read “Sam is like an annoying nat that you sway away”, “Sam, please let me know where you work” or “she must have her quota” or “sam is to the politics board as oracle is to the” This childish rhetoric is getting old. I’m not defending sam she is a big girl and I can see by her posts she can take care of herself, but my point is that this has nothing to do with politics. If you want a fight maybe you could request that the administrator create a separate “fight and degrade” section.
I’ve read the administrators post a couple different times called Beware of Flaming. She/he said as long as we realize that not everyone is going to agree we shouldn’t wear our feelings on our sleeves and a little more oversight on here would be good. Let people express his or her opinion and move on. If you don’t like someone just ignore that person. “It’s not rocket science, you know” (I liked that statement) 
I consider posting on this board a privilege and not a right. If you don’t agree with something and you post that you don’t agree and state the facts why (and are civilized about it) that’s one thing, but when you bash and degrade others without showing proof and just want to start fights and belittle others it just seems a bit juvenile to me.
I come to the politics board to hear ideas and stuff (facts) about the candidates. That is how I’m learning about each one, but I don’t want to read people attack other posters for no good reason. I'd like to hear about Obama/Biden & McCain/Palin, but I want to hear facts.
If you like to fight so much why don’t you pick on people that you can fight to face to face.

We need to stop imposing the way we live on them. They don't hate us because of our freedom. That is absurd. When have you ever heard them say we hate you because you are free? Never. What they have been saying is "Don't tell us how we should live". "Don't tell us we need to have the same type of government that America has", and they also say "We don't need the Americans designing our own countries flag" and that is why they hate us. They are their own country. It is not right for us to go in and say you need to live the way we do, your government needs to be run the way ours is. How would we like it if they came and said "Were invading America and your going to conform to the way we live because "its' the right way" or "god has told me this is the way it's suppose to be". No, we wouldn't like it one bit. Every country lives differently. We need to stop dictating how other countries should live.
