Ironic that you are on the Politics board when you aren't American

Posted By: Anon2 on 2009-05-27
In Reply to: what a childish post, I think you were declared incompetent..nm - .-

At least that what you say, that you're not from American and are European.

Interesting indeed...

Okay, now that I'm satisfied that you are indeed the poster I thought you were, I'm outta this thread.

Good luck, ladies!!!

Because you posted on the Main board not Politics board.
It was removed, as we do not have an option of moving from Main to Politics.

This could have easily been avoided had you posted on the correct board.

The response from another poster to not post political viewpoints on this board was becuase you posted it on the Main board.
just as i hope African American's aren't voting for Obama for that reason!
NM (i suppose that means "no more"? or something) im still a bit new to the board!
Politics board = political topics. Faith board = religious topics.

Please keep all religious/faith topics and discussions on the Faith board.  This would involve your beliefs, whether Christian or atheist, etc.

The Politics board is strictly for political topics and discussions.

This is the POLITICS board
Perhaps you want the MAIN or COMPANY board for job tips?

Her daughter is not in politics - take it to the gab board
Gloating about the sadness that some kids are going through belongs on the gab board. Her daughter and daughters bf never ran for a political position. It's bad enough to see the Palin bashing continue past the election (get over it), but to gloat about someone's misery is shameful, especially when they are not in politics. The OP was obviously gloating and it's disgusting to know there are people so spiteful that they can't let it go with Palin, they have to drag her kids (soon to continue to her family soon) into the bashing too and express their happiness about the awful circumstances her kids are going through - real nice!!! Take the gossip to the gab board.

And if you look below you'll see many posts by me. I'm not a coward to use my moniker I've always been using.

People - take it to the gab board - bf is not in politics
So what he never graduated high school. My dad never graduated high school and he's held jobs his whole life. Raised two kids, nephews. Sacrificed everything for us and I love him for it. He's no less of a person than people who did graduate high school, which some of them are bums!

So what her bf didn't graduate high school. That has nothing to do with politics.
what's wrong with you? This is the Politics Board.
If you cannot make a contribution to discussing politics then move to another board with your ignorance.
You're on the wrong board, aren't you?

Excuse me, aren't you the one who posted your question to us on this board? nm

Well Brunson, I've been posting on the politics board on mtstars sm
for a few years, since it was created. It has took some tough skin - really tough to debate Nan and AG and the others of their ilk. Though I must say their unwaivering love and confidence in President Bush is almost admirable and I can't help but respect a person who knows what they believe in and stand strong for it; at the very same time, not being open to other's view points is close minded.

I have seen in my day AG (AKA Bush Supporter), Nan, and more of their coherts run quite a few liberal minded, even meek speaking posters and they did it with no regard to their feelings. They like to make the debate a personal one, so I would say by looking at what the trolls did to them was a healthy dose of their own medicine, and by the way from what I've read I didn't see death wished on anyone. That's yet another trick of theirs, again you would have to know them, to demonize everything the democrats/liberals say.

So you expect politics to be *pleasant*. I can remember on the other board SM
two of the regular posters leaving and you and your friends celebrating on the board.  Ding Dong the witch is dead. Stuff like that. Immature, but that's typical. Still, you celebrated.  They left because you HOUNDED THEM OFF.  You were relentless in posting multiple times to their every post, no matter what it was about.  They said they left for the good of the board. You are leaving because you can't take the heat. Big HUGE difference.  If you can't and won't have the strength of your convictions, then what good are you.  Thank God our Lord Jesus Christ had more backbone.
She made it seem as though religion is inappropriate on this board as related to politics (sm)
and that she was sick of hearing about religion. I am sick of hearing about racism.
She was in state politics at the time, not national politics......
how much foreign policy experience did Bill have when he went to the presidency having only been a governor? The same as Sarah Palin. Because he was concentrating on his job...the state of Arkansas (and Paula Jones and what was that stripper's name?). Sarah Palin was concentrating on the state of Alaska.

Good grief. lol. Why don't you poll all the governors in all the states in the union and ask them how much they think about foreign policy?
I was brought up Buy American made products, keep American jobs.
Always bought American made cars and bought products from companies where my family was employed. Now look at America? We are definitely connected all around the world.

My feeling? Obama states he wants to start from the poor upward. Not the other way around like it has been for quite awhile. That to me does not necessarily mean just in America, but around the world by taking the poorest countries and working upward so America's pay wages and everything else will be so low and comparable to the poorest countries. After all, we are now connected together.

Cannot wait to see what will happen with the Swine flu this fall with the second wave and what it will do to the economy of all the countries combined at once.
And isn't it ironic that the ones

who staunchly defend this lying idiot president when he doesn't play by the rules when it comes toobeying the law and honoring the Constitution are the same ones who refuse to play by the monitor's rules on this board?

What is ironic
It's ironic that a country that was originally based on freedoms as well as freedom of religious persecution, and as a place for a mix of cultures....has become so incredibly shallow and dopey as to condemn someone because of their middle name.  It is astounding.  You really should be addressing your bigotry and animosity toward Obama's mother (who is dead) as this was totally her deicision, NOT HIS.
How ironic about the AMA.
I read somewhere not too long ago, and please forgive me, I can't remember where, that the AMA lobbied against reform during someone else's push for it. I'll have to do some digging on exactly who and the specifics, but I think it is rather ironic that they are now jumping in the fight regardless of how big a role they eventually play.

I just don't think that mandating people to buy insurance or forcing employers to provide it for their employees is the answer either. I like the buy-in to Medicare idea which is part of Edwards plan (I think Obama's too for that matter).

Most people are grossly under insured as it is. I have decent coverage, 80/20 split. But even then if something catastrophic happens to my family, how on earth could we pay 20% of a million dollars? That's not being dramatic either. I have a friend who had a baby premature, 21 weeks believe or not and healthy as can be now, but the costs were a million and a half and that was eight/nine years ago. Probably tack on a few hundred thousand more by now.
I think it is ironic........
when people use foreign words or derivatives and do NOT know how to use them correctly. Then use an ENGLISH expression, or LOOK it up, and don't try to show off. You make yourself just laughable. LOL
You know what is ironic.....

President Obama stated several times yesterday about how we shouldn't use the same ideas as the pubs because why continue to do things that didn't work.  Great point, President Obama.....so what gives with the stimulus package?  Uh....didn't Bushy do that.  I mean.....that was called a bailout but still....same idea.  So if we shouldn't repeat things that didn't work....why are you pushing so hard for this spendulous package that, just like Bushy's bailout, WON'T WORK!

Any child born to American parents is an American -
I am sorry, but I respectfully disagree with you - any child born to American parents is an American even if they are born overseas. The birth has to be registered with the United States, but they are still an American even if they are born in the foreign hospital.

I have 2 cousins who were born in Japan and they have no problems at all being "American".
How ironic that you lecture about
when the administration you support apparently has never heard of it.
I find it ironic
you both spelled imbecilic incorrectly. Okay everyone can blast me now for being the spelling police. Fire away.
I just found it ironic
The way she describes Obama is how the serpent is described. That's all. Relax.

Obama is not everything to assume I see evil in everything. Besides, I never said he was evil. I just haven't been lured into his candy promises just because of his "velvety" voice and great rhetoric. He's good, I'll give him that.
LOL...that is kind of ironic...(sm)

One thing I have noticed though is that after EVERY administration (dem or pub) we always find out that things are always worse than portrayed.  That's one thing I like about Obama's idea of transparency in gov.  I doubt it will be perfect, but I think it might be the beginning of gov accountability that we haven't seen before.

Have you been to whitehouse.gov yet?  Pretty awesome.  It shows everything from his agenda with explanations to the actual executive orders he does.  I'm sure some will say it's slanted in favor of Obama, but I think it would be hard to dispute when they are showing the actual documents he signs.

Pretty ironic, isn't it............ sm
or maybe not, that the complainer was from another country who came to the United States to seek a better life. Maybe her visa/citizenship papers need to be reviewed. Perhaps she would be less "offended" if she were to go back where she came from.

The other posters are right. Rights are slowly but surely being stripped away in favor of "tolerance." We will all be marching in jack boots soon enough.
That's very true; however, kind of ironic
how some wouldn't vote for McCain because of his ties with Bush, but now, here come the Clintons. So much for change!
What I find rather ironic is the fact

that you people spew out that we refuse to listen to intelligence explanations of your view points and yet....I do believe you refuse to listen to our intelligent explanation of our view points.  I have listened to your side and I still feel that the Obama administration is wrong in what they are trying to accomplish.  We have no money and yet our government keeps spending it and handing it out like we have loads of it.  It honestly amazes me that you people can't see the problem with this.

As for me....I have listened to both sides and I'm watching what is going on as opposed to just listening to Obama's mesmerizing teleprompter speeches.  His words and his actions are two different things.  I've made my decision and yes, I want Obama to fail because I feel that his agenda for our country will ruin it and who would want that.

It is also ironic that the same people who protested and complained about Bush never seemed to call themselves unpatriotic but now because a crat is in the white house, we are all unpatriotic for questioning his motives and judgment.  The double standards make me wanna puke.

As for the comments about the tea parties....I think it is rather rude and offensive for people to assume that the tea parties were nothing but a hate democrat/Obama rally.  For those of you who can't get it through your thick skulls....this isn't about democrats.  I do believe there were many signs that said republicans suck too.  How do you explain that if it was a rally against the democrats?  As for Obama, this isn't entirely about Obama.  It is about government as a whole.  So for those saying that it was a racist rally.....give me a break.  You can't blame everything on race here and yet that is all I hear.  You don't agree with Obama so you must be racist.  That just shows how narrow minded and racist some of you are.  There are other issues out there and all some of you can focus on is race.  Trust me....Obama's race is the last thing on my mind right now.

So Christians aren't supposed to political? Or we aren't supposed to let our morality, faith

our conscience guide us politically?

I'm sorry, that is a separation I cannot make.  My faith and religious convictions are part of the whole person that I am.  I vote my conscience.  I want political leaders who reflect my morality.  I also happen to believe there are many Christians out there like me.  There is no "separation" of church and state for me, which by the way was a concept (nowhere specifically mentioned in the constitution) meant to protect the church from the government more so than the government from the church.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that commercial.  There are condom commercials, "personal" lubricant commercials, and penis and sexual performance enhancing commercials -- why would anyone be offended by a pro-life commercial?  The fact that anyone would be offended is a testament to just how twisted society has become!

Bush is no friend of bin Laden and isn't it ironic
that the same person who spouts the first amendment is also the one who runs to the monitor when people say something she doesn't like? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Does anyone else not find it totally ironic that our next president's sm

middle name is Hussein? I mean, you don't have to be a Bible-believing Christian to think that it is totally eerie and shows that God has probably completely taken his hand off of America to "let it be whatever it wants to be" since we are not listening to Him anymore anyway. Everything seems to be anti-God nowadays and so we'll just have to see what is going to happen in the next 4 years. You think it was bad in early 2000, you just wait and see how bad America is going to get. I'm not for or against Obama in any way, I just think that he is just a "symbol" of what is going to be happening to America - false prosperity and feel-good speeches - but I think the antichrist in one of the nations will spill its wrath against us in a might way.

If my people who call me by name will humble themselves and turn from their wickedness then I will heal their land and show mercy....2 Chron.

What I find so dang ironic about this bailout...
is that the people who got us INTO this mess are the major negotiators in this bailout. Just shakin' my head. No one should vote those slackers back in, that's for sure!! Pelosi for lying to cover it up, Dodd and Frank for being up to their eyeballs in it, Obama for being asleep at the wheel, too busy running for President to pay attention to the looming danger...grrrr. I am not a Democrat, but if I was I would be screaming to the high heaven at my party for selling me down the river. Sigh.
Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement today. How ironic.

On a weekend when we are all preparing to celebrate our independence, some of us can get ready to kiss that very same independence goodbye.

If Bush stays true to his "base" and the Democrats are unsuccessful in what I hope will be a very aggressive filibuster (if the candidate does turn out to be someone who is unwilling to substitute the Constitution for the Bible), we will have conservatives chipping away at our independence: controlling our lives, our deaths, defining which God is "politically correct," who people with the "wrong" orientation are "allowed" to love, etc., etc., etc.

I wonder how much "independence" we will have left to celebrate on July 4, 2006.

So you and your buds bash us on *your* board and suddenly, once you reach this board,

some respect?

You publicly post on the other board that you *try not to visit the bog of eternal stench.*

Well, doesn't look like you are trying all that hard. Or is that another example of Conservative honesty, like your buddy on the other board lies 3 times before suddenly deciding to be *up front* (in her own words) about the whole bogus line of crap she was spouting.

You and your 2 friends don't respect anyone unless they're a member of your little club, think exactly as you think, belong to the same political party as you belong, and believe in the very same little narrow SUBsection of one particular religion.

That's what I interpret from YOUR WRITTEN WORDS.  Your posts don't show respect.  They only show twisted *facts*, ignorance, anger and hatred.

You can't be *respectful* on your own board but suddenly, when you come here - HERE - the place YOU call *the bog of eternal stench* you suddenly discover some respectability during your mouse click from there to here?

Please.  Some of us aren't as stupid as you think we are.

You're becoming quite a bore.  You and your friends stated you don't want us on your board, but you're not happy unless you're picking a fight.  You and your *gang* told us to leave and not to post on *your* board.  Maybe that should work both ways.

Out of ALL the problems with radical Conservatives, maybe the most annoying thing is that you don't believe in equality at all.  You believe in SUPERIORITY.  Somewhere along the line, someone made you think you were special and above everyone else.  Sheesh!  You're not happy unless you're dictating to everyone else in the country what they're allowed to do in their own personal lives regarding life, death, science, etc. You even think YOUR GOD IS BETTER than everyone else's.

You want to make the rules, censor people and tell them which boards they can and cannot post on, but YOU want to invade them all and spew your ignorance and hatred.

In my heart, I believe there are sincere, honest, intelligent Conservatives out there who are capable of a sensible debate.  I've seen them.  (I hope you don't chase them away, too.)  But and your crew don't fall in that category, and this will be the last of your inane posts I will subject myself to.

Talk about stench. Just read your very own posts.

Can we bring the board back to the true reason for the board

Can we get the political board back to the true purpose of this board – to share opinions of why we like our candidate.  Not bash and cut down others because they don’t agree with you.

I stayed away from this board for the past couple days because anyone who had anything positive to say about Sarah Palin got slammed, bashed, kicked down, etc.  After awhile I found it all too draining, and was not seeing any reason to come.  Yes, I did see some of it towards people who favored Barack Obama, but if you read the posts again it is mostly towards anyone who favored Sarah Palin/John McCain.

I thought the political board was for posting information regarding politics and candidates.  What I have seen for the past few days is that it has been an attack board.  Especially if you have anything positive you want to share about Sarah Palin.  You say something good about her and you get attacked, you answer back, and you get attacked more, and then when you get mad and pretty much say stop attacking me, they come back with this “Geez, I’m allowed to have an opinion”.

Another thing I am tired of seeing is the slanderous, hate filled, really off the wall comments about Sarah Palin.  The latest was something about her daughter actually had her baby.  Talk about just bizarre comments.  I thought what’s next, she’s an alien from another planet?  The more I kept reading the more the comments were getting just really weird and bizarre.  Of course nobody ever having any proof of any of these allegations.  I then came to realize that the posters were just trying to get a fight going.

I also saw posts that had nothing to do with politics but attacking a poster named Sam.  Again, probably trying to get another fight going for no good reason and on things that have nothing to do whatsoever with politics.  I’ve read “Sam is like an annoying nat that you sway away”, “Sam, please let me know where you work” or “she must have her quota” or “sam is to the politics board as oracle is to the”  This childish rhetoric is getting old.  I’m not defending sam she is a big girl and I can see by her posts she can take care of herself, but my point is that this has nothing to do with politics.  If you want a fight maybe you could request that the administrator create a separate “fight and degrade” section.

I’ve read the administrators post a couple different times called Beware of Flaming.  She/he said as long as we realize that not everyone is going to agree we shouldn’t wear our feelings on our sleeves and a little more oversight on here would be good.  Let people express his or her opinion and move on.  If you don’t like someone just ignore that person. “It’s not rocket science, you know” (I liked that statement)

I consider posting on this board a privilege and not a right.  If you don’t agree with something and you post that you don’t agree and state the facts why (and are civilized about it) that’s one thing, but when you bash and degrade others without showing proof and just want to start fights and belittle others it just seems a bit juvenile to me.

I come to the politics board to hear ideas and stuff (facts) about the candidates.  That is how I’m learning about each one, but I don’t want to read people attack other posters for no good reason.  I'd like to hear about Obama/Biden & McCain/Palin, but I want to hear facts.

If you like to fight so much why don’t you pick on people that you can fight to face to face.

Your on the wrong board - you need to preach on the faith board
You just delivered a sermon (or quote). Either way it doesn't belong here. What does this have to do with politics. The democrat and republican party did not start up until after the 1800s. Socialism also wasn't created until the 1800s.

To me your post describes the way humans should treat other humans. This has nothing to do with politics - imho.

the conservative board is a liberal board now
you all aren't happy until you infect everyone out there with your hatred.   It's not something I'd very proud of.
Ya gotta understand the rules. We have to post on this board only. They can post on any board they

Probably because there aren't

nearly as many of them.  And I noticed the tally keeper yesterday was only tallying those posts she wanted to count.  Sound like politics?

As for rabid, thanks for the enlightenment but the definition I prefer is 1 a: extremely violent : furious b: going to extreme lengths in expressing or pursuing a feeling, interest, or opinion <rabid editorials> <a rabid supporter>

CERTAINLY NOT:

2: affected with rabies

Well, though, I would hope none of the "rabid" Republicans (or Democrats) are "affected with rabies" but hey, maybe that's something to ponder.  After all, rabies does affect the brain. LOL

aren't

YOU special . . .

They aren't done yet. This is just day 1 of

cutting the pork. Let's wait and see what they will do by Friday.

My calculator doesn't go that high for adding up the pork they want to cut, but I think it's more than 2%.

I will take a wait-and-see attitude with my finger on the "favorites" key to renounce them if they don't cut all the pork out.

no, they aren't.
I hate this discussion. Do you actually know any gay people? I doubt it or you would not think that way. Most people, regardless of their sexual orientation, are just trying to go about their business and live their own lives. There are always people making a big issue of something or another, whether gay or straight, and the gay population does not do so anymore than any other group. As is always the case, only those making an issue get the attention thus painting a whole population. If everyone would just keep their nose out of everyone else's business we would all be better off. Truly, another person's lifestyle is no one else's business unless it infringes on the rights of others.
Since we obviously aren't going to be able to have..(sm)

any meaningful conversation today, how about this?  Keep in mind he was one of the main ones going after Clinton for having an affair.  Hmmmm....

Top Republican resigns leadership post over affair

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Republican US Senator John Ensign has resigned his Senate leadership post one day after admitting to an extra-marital affair, the chamber's top Republican said in a statement Wednesday.

"He's accepted responsibility for his actions and apologized to his family and constituents. He offered, and I accepted, his resignation as chairman of the Policy Committee," said Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The post is the fourth-ranking leadership position among Senate Republicans.

Ensign, a rising star of the Republican Party regarded as a possible contender in the 2012 presidential election, admitted to the affair at a news conference Tuesday in his home state of Nevada.

Ensign, 51, a staunch conservative with a record of strong family-values stances, vowed to remain in office after describing the affair as "absolutely the worst thing I've ever done in my life."

That's right. Unfortunately, that's politics.nm
x
Now, this is politics.....for sure......

All politics aside...I do want to wish everyone a...
very happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you are all able to enjoy it with family and friends...and if some of us have to work, here's hoping they keep the leftovers warm.  Happy Thanksgiving!
Politics... LOL
I think it just depends on the person.. some people ACTUALLY dont give a crap about them... at all. which to me is totally foreign... that's ALMOST as bad as being the opposing side to me haha. Luckily my family (or at least the ones i actually spend time with, my immediate ones) we all feel exactly the same way, but even we can get loud and annoying while even agreeing with each other! haha. politics is one thing that I get completely heated about... i sometimes wish i didn't care, but i mean, it spreads to all aspects of my life ya know? DISCLAIMER: sorry about the punctuation, i NEVER use it when i am just relaxing. it does not reflec the kind of MT i am. haha

Not enough crackerjack on the shelf for this election. At least you get a prize.

Today Now!: How To Pretend You Give A S**t About The Election

There are so many funny ones at this site it was hard to decide on one!  You'll have to supply the 2 letters above which were refused.  What could they be?!

See what I mean? You can't keep it about politics..
you have to stay in your close-minded, one-sided arguements becasue you don't like to hear the truth. That's okay - you stay on your side and I'll stay on mine and we'll just agree to disagree. And about the bridge, I'll take it - I can donate the profit to the Cancer Society. Thanks so much!!!
MTs and Politics
I never realized how many MTs were *********************** conservative ********until I came to this political board.  When you advertise that you are voting for the McCain/Palin ticket, you might as well as raise your hand and say "I am *************
