Maybe it's because I watch a lot of news on different stations

Seems like I can't have a down-to-earth discussion with you so from now on, I will ignore your sarcasm.

Wrong - it was on several news stations......just not Fox.....

my mother lived during the depression and her family thought FDR was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Same with my father and his family were hard-core Republicans.......Ask someone who lived it instead of GUESSING - better yet - Google it and find a reputable source.

It's all over the news - and I mean ALL news stations.
not just the ones you don't like.

What in the heck stations/programs have you been watching??? I get 1,995 stations but missed those p
nm
I don't watch TV. Especially the TV news. Never have. nm
x
You obviously don't watch much Fox news, do you....sm
In their efforts to be fair and balanced, they'll have two libs on to one conservative, and almost always end up leaning leftwards of center.....

Makes me sick, actually. Especially seeing Fox is trashed all the time for being ALL conservative and therefore shouldn't be watched, when that is far from the case....

Fox gives equal and more often than not, more time to the lib point of view.

That's hardly fair and balanced, the way they claim.

And still they're bashed for being right wing.....go figure.....

Tsk!Tsk. I watch Fox News. I really

find them to be pretty accurate in their reporting. They interview others on the good and bad from the news of the day and get both sides of the picture. I don't know what is so bad about that. They are not as biased as the other news programs....believe me, I've watched quite a few mostly one-sided news.

FYI, I'm not talking about O'Reilly, Hannity and Colmes, Greta VanSustern, etc. I'm talking about the regular news.

I guess you don't like it because its more fair in its reporting and not one-sided.

Anybody watch ABC News tonight?

Charlies Gibson had a personal interview with JM about Sarah. Very interesting. He has the utmost confidence in her as VP.

Most of the news tonight was on the convention.

watch Faux news they are all

about flags, lipstick, crosses in the sand -- all the symbolic distraction you could ever, ever hope for.

You must watch MSLSD and get your news from those
credible sources Keith (I'm jealous of Bill O'Reilly's fame, fortune and ratings) Olbermann and Chris (I get a tingle down my legs when Obama speaks) Matthews.
Everyday I watch the news or

look at the news on the internet, etc. and there is always a murder mentioned in the news.  I'm sure that there are people who are targeted merely because of their sexual orientation.  However, people are murdered everyday.  I personally hear about murders more than I've heard about murders based on sexual orientation in the news.  How many little kids went missing one right after another one and they found their bodies later?  We have gang related killings.  We have race related killings.  We have religious related killings.  I don't see the schools teaching about acceptance of religions because there are people who are targetted merely for their religious beliefs as well.  It truly is sad when you think about all the murders that occur day in and day out.  It makes you wonder what is wrong with our world that a man can shoot his wife and children and then himself or that someone can take a child, molest them, and then kill them.  It is very sad indeed.

All depends on what news you watch, polls
are all over the place
I watch Fox News also. I have watched all networks.
nm
I disagree. I watch all the cable news networks
his observations about their evolution of identity to be quite astute and entertaining.
Translation: I watch a lot of Fox News and stick strictly to party rhetoric.nm
z
You must be picking up some of the same stations
where Palin hears Putin rear his ugly head and coach her on foreign policy issues. Transmissions from the parallel universe don't count.
FYI: I watched most of the stations
I didn't stick to just one. I found MSNBC to be the most one-sided, and that includes NBC. Hours devoted to the O.
You and I must be watching different stations
I think possibly Fox might have Obama's ratings dropping but just heard yesterday both independents and Democrats totally behind him with ratings up in the 80s. I did not even hear about the tea party until that very day so actually was not that huge from what I saw or read. As far as Alaska, she gets props for having a balanced budget. When you've got one of the lowest populations (4th least populated state) and a metric crap-ton of oil running through your state via the pipeline, Marion Berry, Kwame Kilpatrick, Bill Ford and George W. Bush could balance the budget--. Each Alaskan resident gets an annual check from the pipeline revenues. How can you NOT have a balanced budget?!?!?! Want to impress me? Balance California or Michigan's budget. The rainbow in Alaska is not as bright as several years ago. Read the Alaska newspapers. People there don’t even like her. You will not have your wish of a change of parties next election- the repubs are in a shamble and everyone knows that.

MSNBC is the most biased of all the stations

Fox News was voted by the press to be the most fair in their reporting. They compared all the major stations and came up with an average of 40% of all reporting devoted to each side when reporting election news.

Other posters will state Fox is biased, but I have started watching that station and CNBC. I was MSNBC and the others when I need a laugh.

Sorry I meant I was listening to all the legitimate stations
You know the ones who are not heavily worshiping Obama, but actually its not just TV. Reading website after website after website and keep seeing Palin as winner.

Get off the war issue - Obama plans to keep the war going too. Haven't you listened to what he's been saying? Guess the Obama worship takes up so much time that people don't listen to his plans.
Isn't it time to watch Hannity or bowl or some other watch Nascar?

Could not watch either. Sm
I could not watch either.  I don't believe a work he says and he makes me ill as well.
You said to watch...

so I did and gave my critique.

I watch so you don't have to

Bill O'Ego is SO desperate to get his "religious" viewers riled up so they will unite and vote repub.  Last night, he was outraged (he and Hannity have so overused that emotion) because a Catholic church in San Fran did not respond with hatred and/or violence when two people presented to church in outlandish outfits to receive communion.  The film shows them standing in line quietly and receiving the wafer and walking away.  O'Ego felt it was a great ATTACK on his religion and felt that this should be BIG-BIG news. Claims the media is covering it up.  He said if HE had been there . . . well . . . you know what a big he-man he is  . . . It is obvious he is trying to divide people.  According to my reading, jesus said turn the other cheek, and love one another. Ann Coulter then appeared and they discussed how she was so innocent and being attacked.  Oh me brothers . . . .

Better watch it.....sm
The kind, loving, nonjudgmental christians on this board will roast you for being anything but what they deem is RIGHT. They'll burn in he11 before anyone else just for being what they are - living a lie.
8 & 11 PM CST watch this

Hannity's America, Foxnews.com.  Investigating Obama's friendships, etc.  Can you handle it?

Incidentally, Mike Huckabee has a new show on Fox, too.  It's also on today, at 7 PM, CST.  The first one last week was really good.

better watch it
I am sure it will make me change my vote and see the light that is McCain-Palin.

Did you watch the one from CNN?
It looks like the same kid.

Look, I wouldn't question it, but he can't tell us to be "our brother's keeper" and then not keep his own brother!

I would just like to see some more walking the talk, ya know? If he is really big into helping the down trodden and lifting up everyone, I'd like to see him out there doing it. And not just to get ahead in politics either (so we can't really count community organizer).
Exactly. Just tax us all or watch our
trillion dollar deficit grow even worse.
Better watch out for........... sm

The thing you guys don't understand (or are ignoring) is that healthcare is a HUGE expense out of the federal budget as it is now.  At this point it is absolutely essential to get that cost under control, which means reform.  Cutting the cost of healthcare and yet making healthcare available to everyone is a win - win situation.

gonna watch it
Im gonna watch the comet explode.  I think its Sunday night.  Gotta check..however, whenever it is, I will be out there watching my beautiful uncluttered unsmogged desert sky.
Watch that propaganda now!
It's simply not true that Cindy Sheehan had "nothing but praise" for Bush and has now done a 360-degree turn. It's Drudge and Limbaugh nonsense with quotes taken out of context and spun to try and seem....what? It's nothing if not illogical. Aren't those intent on smearing her loudly proclaiming that she has been anti-Bush and anti-war since long before her son was killed? Then why would she fall all over herself praising him AFTER her son was killed? It makes no sense at all, but the attackers aren't really big on making sense apparently. They just throw all the garbage at the wall and see what might stick, that's how they operate.

What I really don't get is what the attackers are meaning to say. Even if it were true that Ms. Sheehan "did a 360" - point please? So what? So perhaps she was trying to make the best of a bad bad situation and least be respectful toward the president in consideration of his meeting with her and other family members - but since then, as she says herself, we have had the Downing Street proof, we have learned there were no WMDs at the time we invaded, we have learned all sorts of unbelievably horrible things - why SHOULDN'T anyone let those things change their views?

Now she just wants to know what this "noble" cause is that the President keeps referring to, and she wants to ask him to stop using the dead to justify making more unnecessary dead. But oh no, she must have an AGENDA! - well seems like that's it, isn't it? She wants to know and she wants him to look her in the eye and explain himself. And why shouldn't he? Or more precisely, why can't he seem to be able to do it? If he is sincere in his beliefs and committed to the cause, considering he's such a straight-talking nice guy, what's the problem? What is the big deal? It could all be over with in an hour. Why won't he just do it?
I don't watch O'Reilly. ?????
duh
Another reason not to watch FOX! LOL
xx
Can watch the interview at
cnn.com/2008/politics/09/05/palintrooper./index.htm.  Better to see it for yourself.

BTW, hope you and your loved ones will be safe. I am sure I would be terrified. I just saw the latest news, though, and it states the hurricane is currently aimed more south... Brownsville, Corpus Christi.  When did it change direction??

There is a big black hole under his left ear behind that chipmunk type cheek.  I kept thinking it was a trick of light, but there is a deep crevice there or something.
