Oooh, I hear this so often
and it just frustrates the you know what out of me!!! I am proud to consider myself Republican and I am far from selfish!!! I give to charity what I can, I volunteer at my son's school, as a family we volunteer at the homeless food pantry here in my town, and my children just had a yard sale two weeks ago to raise money for MDA. I am a good person and there are good people in my family (who are also Rebuplicans). You can't just lump all Republicans or all Democrats into one nasty group. If that were true, my best friend, who is a liberal Democrat, wouldn't be my best friend because we wouldn't be able to stand each other, seeing as I'm so selfish and all. I understand getting frustrated with the opposing political parties, but let's try to keep statements to facts and not just say something for the sake of saying something. There are a lot of people out there, Republicans and Democrats, that are still open-minded and really want to hear the issues, not the crap that the candidates are throwing at each other every day. Let this be the place for those who are open-minded.

Too bad Clinton didn't do what BUSH does routinely and simply REFUSE to be put under oath (9/11 commission? Have a cozy little chat, did they). Hard to slam anyone for lying under oath when they feel they are so above the law of the land that they aren't subject to taking the oath in the first place - and why should they have to when they've made it perfectly clear that anyone who even THINKS about opposing them is going to suffer - big time.
And haha - we're supposed to believe the SCOTUS is a moral authority on anything? Haha! They dumped their reputations in the toilet on the day they dirtied the Constitution by taking it upon themselves choose the next president rather than allowing the people of the United States to follow due process of law in electing their own president. If you're looking for noble champions of the people whose opinions you can cite to make your case, they aren't it. We all saw what they did, and history will record their shameful and traitorous ruling and will not be kind to them.
By the way, how's that overturning of Roe v. Wade going?:)

Let me apologize please. I didn't mean that at all the way it sounded. You have done very well for yourself raising your children and making it on your own. I didn't word that right at all and didn't realize how awful that sounded when I wrote it- obviously. My point was - why a higher percentage? Why not equal percentage? obviously on an equal percentage basis, he/she/they who earn more pay more. Why should higher income earners pay an even greater percentage?

What I wanna know...
I want to know what either candidate intends to do about illegal immigrants. I live in Atlanta and many of the schools are loaded with kids of illegals. Many of these kids cannot speak English and they are destroying the overall ratings of the schools because they do not perform well on tests.
Also, they take up all of the teachers time because they spend all of the class time trying to get them to understand what he/she is trying to say. I literally had to break a lease (ruined my credit) to move to another part of Atlanta where there was a school with just a few hispanics, which cost me $300 more per month in rent.
For anybody who wants to know, you can go to greatschools.net to search for a school and find out the racial demographics. It is ridiculous that these lawbreakers are basically ignored and allowed to infiltrate and destroy this country on a daily basis. Don't even get me started on the number of fatal car accidents these people have caused in the state of Georgia, as well as other violent crimes.

We arbitrarily attacked a country that had no solid links to the attack. That has been proven. To say it was not known then is not an arguable point because it was not known then, so again, we attacked a country without probable cause.
Since our current President has been in power, no attacks have occurred. The only attack on US soil since WW II (by a known attacker, the Japanese) has been under the power of George W. Bush, and according to you, he would be the least strongest president in the present day.
To 'protect' does not translate into an aggressive attack, especially if the attacker is not a known entity.

Obama represents to democrats an upstanding individual who we believe will be able to bring about a more efficient government and restore credibility to the nation (among other things). We hope this can be accomplished. However, when even the slightest hint of a rumor comes along (nevermind the source), you guys are all over it acting like it's true before any facts at all have surfaced. Because dems defend against this constant tirade of rabid pubs, we are automatically called O worshipers? Actually, in this case we were called O worshipers in the original post...LOL.

This just coming out.........former Obama staffer (while working with Obama) now coming out that he sat in a meeting with an Islamic organization in Virginia back in September, in which Mr. Asbahi was present, Obama's liason. Now that man alone has a very close relationship with Islamic organizations and it just keeps getting deeper. This Islamic organization has ties with terrorists organizations to include CAIR who was also listed as a coconspirator in terror related groups.
It just keeps getting more interesting. For those that doesn't know who Asbahi is, you need to keep your eyes wide open. Obama is knee deep involved with Muslim and Islamic organizations, even though he has made a point of using his liasons, who are mostly Muslim, to do so now that he is running for President.

Obama stated today, while trying to turn the plumber thing back towards McCain as if he NEVER said "spread the wealth" this.......
"How many of you know a plumber that makes half a million dollars?". McCain never said that, Obama did. Obama told the plumber that the business he was looking at buying which may or may not make 250K would be taxed to "spread the wealth" around. Boy, he's desperate now.

On Obama's voting against funding for US Troops overseas he said,

Now, here he stands alongside the very guy he can't stand. And you think this is an upstanding God fearing lover of his country? This man is no different than Obama; he'll do whatever is necessary to get his foot in the door for an upcoming Presidency, even if that means acceping a VP position from a guy he can't stand, doesn't agree on anything with, and likes his opposition better.
