Never get reported, so it's probably higher than whatever the statistics show anyway.

BUT, whatever the number is, it could be lower if all hospital ERs in the country were required to inform rape victims about emergency contraception (keeps a fertilized egg from implanting) as well as prophylactic antibiotics (in case of STD from the attack).

I assumed all ERs did this, but apparently not, I've learned. (Been doing a lot of reading on this issue since this wild and woolley (sp?) thread started.) Thought-provoking stuff. Hard to concentrate on work!
