Obama's programs are inclusive and designed for those who choose to participate for the good of the country, to bring us closer together. If you want no part of that, then, that's your choice, and though I personally think it's sad, it's probably for the best. Either way, it's your CHOICE and is NOT MANDATORY.

People had better smarten up but I doubt that's likely to happen.
So we don't have socialism now. What exactly do we have? Our government (Democrats AND Republicans) support more illegal immigration and rewarding the criminal illegals with citizenship, never mind what the people want. Didn't they both support the huge bail-out? BOTH parties. How many of the people supported that? What good is it going to do? None. Now aren't they saying that we'll have to wait and see if it works and more bail-outs may be necessary.
So will someone tell me just exactly what kind of government it is we have now? The Republicans had rule for the past few years. Very recently both dubya and McCain...didn't they say the "economy was fundamentally sound?" LIES??? Youbetcha.
How any sheep can follow either of these parties to the slaughter is far beyond me. And sheep is what most Americans are. I'm tempted to say that those who enthusiastically support EITHER candidate deserve what they get. The problem is, I, myself, don't particularly want to go along for the ride.

With Specter moving to the dem side, there are only 2, and they vote more like independents. What does that leave the GOP with? West Germany and West Berlin prospered and living standards became much better. Socialism was implemented in East Germany and East Berlin following World War II. East Germany and East Berlin stagnated and living standards deteriorated. The split turned German into an experiment that could be observed, studied, and used to show the differences of how capitalism and socialism affect a country. This is a matter of fact. Fred Thompson was incredible last PM. I suppose I'll have to dig that one out for those who think the news is on the drive-by channels like these.
That's certainly not to diminish Joe Lieberman's speech. Even when he was running for VP, the GOP wouldn't go "after him," only challenge the issues. He's a perfect example of a liberal who puts country before party. Frankly, it's impossible to dislike the man, regardless of what side he's on.

If the O wins and any of his dem affiliates and everything is democratic, there goes the checks and balances; i.e., they can put through any law with smooth sailing and nary a person can undermine it.

Palestinians invaded what part of Israel? When? Remember, they are the ones living on the ever-shrinking, splintering geography. Israelis think nothing of plundering even the most basic of resources, and scarce at that....water. Just another routine starvation tactic as they swim in their pools. Again, consult the disproportionate fatality statistics on fatalities and injuries. No matter how hard you protest, you cannot turn your lies into truth.
More pregnant women should be informed of this.
When I had my son, we donated his cord blood and it was all done for free. When I had my daughter four years later (and at a different hospital), we were told that we could store the cord blood, but not donate, and of course, storing means paying (way too much), so we didn't do it then. I probably should have done more checking around to see where we could have donated.
That one, I'm all for - if they could use that to find a cure for or treat cancer, MD, or anything else, imagine how fabulous that would be!!!
