Saw this in passing

I think Sarah Palin is very, very pretty and dumb as a gourd. Clinton is not attractive and I don’t really care for her but think she is not absent in the education department. Lady, how in the world do you come across when you discuss someone who cannot tell a book she has read, magazine, etc. You are kidding with your post, right? As far as the food stamps, I have known several peoplo on these for years and years (before the present guy) who have known how to play the game of getting them and so glad several years ago when they started that you have to go to work and earn a living. The food stamps/work issues long before Obama. The Sarah Palin is a dead issue really. I think most who heard her open her mouth got an idea of what kind of brains she possessed. No wonder they tried to hide her for so long. Easy on the eyes but dumb, dumb, dumb..

It probably has no chance of passing sm
and was just a symbolic parting shot, but some of us are grateful anyway. Rallies from coast to coast today are honoring and thanking Cynthia. Wonder what makes you think her party has disowned her.

My favorite clip of Cynthia vs Rumsfeld below:

We could require passing an IQ and
It should apply to those wanting to have kids first, too!

BAHAHA ... I am KIDDING - please no flames. Just kidding!

Possible Dems reason for not passing
But the dems didn't get their sneaky little earmark of 20% of any profits to go to the ACORN society which was in the plan drafted last week...could be part of the reason they did not vote for the final one.  What hypocrites the democrats are.
Schumer is speaking (almost done now) about passing

this stimulus. He says, "Don't give us the back of your hand because we have made efforts. It is not perfect, but it's sure a lot better than sitting here, arguing and doing nothing. It requires concerted and smart action that President Obama wants."

He makes me sick. He stands to get 8.65B, or 28 times more money for his state than Kansas. Kansas will only get $450M.

Sen. Hatch said "...the first bill, the SChip, had no input from the pubs. The stimulus was put together by the dems and had no input from the pubs until the other day. When (Schumer) starts talking about tax cuts, let's not give it to those who don't pay income taxes.

Let's not put this stuff in a stimuls bill that is supposed to work NOW, not 3 years from now. Congress has exceeded the budget every year for 28 years except for Clinton. The government spending is moving towards 40% GDP."

They are supposed to vote at 5:30 today, but I don't think they will be able to.

Senator Hatch said "this is a partisan plan and the more you rely on the government , the expansion of government is going to be enourmous and that's called socialism. We are for a stimulus that would help homeowners, cut small business tax rates, move further and further towards creating jobs, and this bill doesn't do it. We have to stand up on something, and this is it."

Sorry, oldtimer, sounds like passing the buck to me...
you would think you would want to clean your party up. But I guess not. Whatever, your choice. I do not turn a deaf ear to what any Democrats say on this board...I just refute what is not truthful. And they pound me pretty good as well. And as to tuning me out...do whatever makes you comfortable. It is a free country, after all.
Well, if that is the case, then I guess not passing the bill...
was right.
We can't be quick enough. You've seen how they're passing enormous bills -
- that they don't even read within a matter of hours. First the stimulus, then the tax bill on executive bonuses, etc.

Meanwhile, it's taken them over six months to investigate some very straightforward charges against Charlie Rangel.

CORRUPT!
