Nah - you just wanted to be rude and obnoxious. nm
Changed my mind
I changed my mind too sm

I thought it was just me.

She offered me a position, but I chose not to accept the position because she was very rude.

Just tell them you changed their mind. Not a nice
thing to do but what they did was not nice either. No other explanation is necessary in light of the circumstances.
Transcend-changed my mind
I had previously posted on here about how disappointed I was with the training process at Transcend.  I wanted to come back to this board and let others know about my experience.  Because of how one employee was not doing her job as she should, it made me feel as though the whole company was that same way.  I want to set it straight that you cannot let just one person/employee represent how the entire company operates.  After venting on this board, someone within management at Transcend seen my post and emailed me to offer assistance.  She turned me over to another person and they have straigtened everything out for me.  I had 3 people following up with me on a daily basis.  They really made me feel that I was valued as an employee and wanted to make my experience there as enjoyable and productive as possible.  I am so glad that I decided to stay on.  For you people who are thinking about working for Transcend, I think that you should give them a chance.  The management there really do care about their employees and want you to be happy, have plenty of work, and enjoy the account you are assigned to.  I just wanted to set the record straight.
I thought about it but changed my mind after
the ADHI gathering in Florida a month or so ago when I overheard some supervisors from there bragging about how many people they fired recently, including one who was sick and on treatment (she called it drugs, so who knows). I wouldn't want to be treated like that and won't let some supervisor get her jollies by firing me when she gets in a bad mood.
Where'd you get the changed her mind about the position part??
OTI - Had us pay big $$$ for equipment and then "oops" changed their mind
You called the owner a liar just because she changed her mind
about a position. What about that constitutes a lie?
I wonder if the recruiter has changed. It seems like the names are different than when I saw ads
last year. Just like with any job, you have people who are on the ball and others who are not.
Rude! Recruiter was very rude to me.
She had an attitude right off the bat.
Thank you.. It was just what I was thinking... Rude kind of entered my mind but I let it go..
She obviously was offended by my post.
Who, the boss or the recruiter was rude?
The recruiter was rude and condensending. I have 22 years experience, and she sm
made me feel like a newbie with her comments and war stories. To hear her talk, all applicants are idiots. If that is the first impression, what is the rest of the company like? I refused to take the test after that.
Keep in mind that the recruiter doesn't pay you,
...the company does. If they offer you 6 cpl for 3 years' experience (which seems a little low, yes), then it's what the company standard is. I'd be able to give you 7...but I'm betting you'd like more (wouldn't we all like more than what we're getting?).
Banglagor is obnoxious

Unfortunately, I have had to deal with some employees from Banglagore and they certainly are obnoxious to talk to.  Mostly they were hounding me on how to get more American business.  I told them I was the wrong person to ask, and that I had no desire to help them take away jobs from Americans.

Arrogant, disorganized, and superior to everyone. You are always wrong, they are always right, management if you can call it that, and do not ever ask a question and expect an answer. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. You will be promised a certain line rate but by the time they take away a little bit more every day, you will be making at the most 7 cpl, and that is the TRUTH.
The rude rude rude post is TRUE
The owners haven't changed, MT supe hasn't changed
I've been in their office. I know the people. It is a sweat shop and you will never be paid a decent amount or get respect. You won't know which is a good or a bad day for the person you report to until you literally get yelled at.

They have to offer bonuses because their reputation is that bad and nothing has changed. You may get work that has been recorded 3 times from some of the worst accounts you could ever imagine. They take accounts no one else will touch. That hasn't changed.
They changed buildings so maybe the phone number also changed...
They are still going strong...
My only contact with them was rude. The front office person or whomever schedules interviews is rude
This was about a year ago but I set up an interview and either I was supposed to call them or they were to call me at a certain time but I totally spaced off the time change. The lady went off on me and told me that they had no interest in me because I couldn't call on time etc. Rude. There is no way I would ever work for someone like that.
Just be rude..out and out rude so they have just cause to "fire" you.. haha..What a bunch of i
Who would want to work for incompetent people like that. Time to change your phone numbers. They are like bad stalkers.
Rude answer to a rude post. nm
3 words, rude, rude, rude....sm

the owner sends out UGLY and NASTY emails to the MTs. The communication is just a disorganized mess and they hire you as an IC, but pretty much treats you like an employee.  Emdat sucks and pretty much the accounts are not that great.  VERY hard to get your lines in Emdat platform.  They LOVE to FIRE....when in actuality.....(that is the term they use)...you cannot FIRE an IC, you can lock them out of the system and I guess that is firing, but those two words have always been a pet peeve of mine....hearing when MTs are fired as ICs....Just my opinion

Rude, rude posters
Hope you rude posters find a good fit for you.  Don't run down OSi because some of us like them.  No problems either and I have 10 years experience.  No newbies here like you say.  Love the accounts I'm on.  Hope the complainers find a good home, but if not, they will be back and on another company's case.
It is so rude to call QA rude because YOU have
been stuck on QA hold for six months!! And the other poster above - if you are getting QA notes and they are including your supervisor, which you imply is not the norm, then YOU are the one responsible. It matters not if you've been an MT for 1 week or 30 years - if your skills are not up to par, they are not up to par. Many MTs get cleared from QA hold within hours or days at most - companies do NOT want to hold you up from producing, nor do they love to waste their $ on MTs on QA hold. You really need a reality check. And no, I am not rude! It is always, always the MTs lacking in skills who get pissed at QA - no form of feedback is acceptable to that type - even sealed with a kiss and a big bow!
They seem to have changed since I did..
I worked for them 6 years ago. I was an employee, I see now on their website they only hire ICs. I was very happy with them, basically could work when I wanted as long as the reports were back when due. However, they somehow decided that their pay scale was unfair to new hires, so those of us who had been there, got knocked down to the new hire scale and everyone basically had to start from scratch to level the playing field. I quit shortly after, was not going to take a pay cut. I believe at this same time they also started sending some stuff offshore, not something I was ready to deal with. If they still have the same owners (I think the guys name was Ed), I found him to be very rude and only interested in himself and his $$. I believe about 6 of us all quit at the same time because they downright rude. I am now with a big national and making about double what I did with Accutype because of better systems and support.
So nothing has changed...
Thanks for the headsup guys. I passed the test with them and received an email, but I guess nothing has changed from past posts.

Thanks again
I see nothing has changed in the last
year since I left MDI. This is exactly how they operate on every level. A lot of people don't mind but I stayed for way to long and have a much better position now without all the drama from MDI! Good luck to you.
Pay Changed
I also agree that you should not take the job, but if they did offer to come up to the original offer I would still not take it. In my mind, this is a either a very unorganized company or a manipulative company and either way it is unlikely things would change once actually working for them.
Must have changed
Their training period used to be for 4 weeks--it must have changed within the last year.
Unless it has changed
you get paid for training what you will be paid for when out of training.
i changed this yr from emp to IC (SE)
left the Q for another job...and i'd have to suggest job #2. I have been an employee for several decades, and wish i would have found the joy and freedom of being an IC-type years ago. I have my medical insurance through BC/BS of my state, and do that so i am free to change jobs if i want to. I get a little higher deductible and the premium is not so bad. As far as a computer, i decided to have a backup for my desktop and just yesterday purchased a laptop online from Circuit City (sale goes off today) for a toshiba A215-S4697, $600 (includes printer/wireless router/security software). That's less than half of what i invested in my desktop. Maybe that would be of interest to you? Feel free to e/m me if i can be of any further help. Either way, good luck!!
looks like nothing has changed much...
the owner gave me some sob story about how she wouldn't make any money if she paid us more than 1.5 cents/line to edit. PLEASE!!
Unless they have changed
since last year when I worked for them, and I doubt they have, stay away from them. They STILL call me and want me to call them and act as though I never worked for them before; I worked there 4 months. Cannot understand any of them when you need to talk to someone, never had any work even after they promised there would be plenty of work. I finally threw in the towel and left. Couldn't feed the family that way. I definitely do not wish this company upon anyone.
Could have changed but..
I elected NOT to take a position with them because the pay was the worst ever. They had VR accounts that they paid 1.5-2 cpl on I believe. There is NO way I'd do ANY work for that.
Nothing has changed.
They have told some that they have 'optimized' their work pool to eliminate the cesspool, but we are STILL getting cesspool. Nothing but empty promises.
May be old but NOTHING has changed
She must have changed!!!!!!sm
This woman must have changed! She was the most moody, strange, and rude person years ago when we worked at the same company.  But I think back then, she had a substance abuse problem. not sure
I think she changed her name.
I read old posts, but don't remember specifics.  I think it was something about work drying up.
JLG has not changed
Their QA staff is rude and not helpful.
Unless the law has changed
it is the physician's responsibility to ensure that the record is correct when his name is signed to it.  I used to have a dictator who always ended his dictation with I have signed but have not read this document or something like that.  Every time  I typed it I thought fool!
They changed their name, was it Healthscribe before? If so
they don't pay very well.
MDI-MD MTs: Has something changed with Bayscribe?

very consistently without pushing myself too hard, 300 lph if I did push myself.  But 250 without much effort.  The last several weeks I seem to only get 200 to 220 lines per hour just transcribing leisurely, and even when I push myself I have not been able to get up to 300 lph; more like 250 when I push myself.  I don't get it.  I have worked there for a few years.  I have been with Bayscribe since it started.  I'm just wondering if headers aren't being counted anymore or something.  And I do copy the document and paste it into Word and do a line count on it, and the line count comes out the same - but there is definitely something different.  I have always loved MDI but I just can't survive on 200 lph and I'm going to have to go back to my own accounts if it keeps up like this.

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed a difference?

I believe they have changed the policy about (sm)
bonus lines for reaching next level.
Pay Rates Have Not Changed -
It must have been the level of the account.
How long ago did you use it? All of that has changed
No, I asked to be changed.
Has Transcend changed its name to
Another example of how this industry has changed -

that's why many are leaving this profession.  After 10 years, that is how you're treated.  It's a shame - and very degrading.

I hear you. A lot has changed.
Would love to go back to an in-house job, however, in-house jobs are scarce. I just interviewed 2 days ago for a local hospital. She graded my test right in front of me and said I did excellent on the test and took me around to meet everyone in the office. Howeveer, she did tell me another person is being considered who lives 300 miles away but is willing to relocate. She obviously couldn't find a hospital job where she lives. Slim pickings. Also, hospitals are now on production requiring as much as nationals in most cases. It's something else.
