have some faith in yourself

whatever you do, do not give up. You could look at it this way -possibly someone higher up (God) stepped in for you to stop you from making a mistake with the new company. You can call the older company and withdraw your resignation. Remember, be true to yourself. In your heart, if you know that you did your best on the test, that is all that matters. Give yourself a break. Take a breath, and take the next step.

trendier clothes or the belly showing.  You'll just end up looking like somebody "trying" to look younger.
Losing faith...

Well every year I think things can't be any worse than the last.  This year dealing with disturbing financial woes, working too much and a rebellious daughter. How do people some people go through all this and still keep their faith in God and life in general.  Sometimes I just want to throw my hands up in the air and just forget it.

Sorry, just got more bad news and here alone working and needed to vent.

Keeping faith
When I am facing adversity (everyday), I often think about all of the times in the past that I felt like giving up for one reason or another. No matter how bad the situation was...SOMETHING worked out. When I say worked out, I don't necessarily mean it worked out the way I wanted it to.

Example: I was in a situation where I was behind on my car payments and tried every avenue available to try to come up with the money. I prayed some serious prayers hoping for a miracle. Well, my car was repossessed. I now had terrible credit and didn't know what I was going to do. At this time, I was working outside of the home and had a 6 year old who had to be taken to and picked up from school. My car was repossed on a Wednesday and on Friday I found a guy in the newspaper classifieds who was selling an 8 year old toyota for $3000. I did not have this kind of money. I called him and asked if he would consider taking payments on the car and I explained my situation to him. He told me he did not know me and could not take payments. I went to bed that night in tears. At about 11pm that night my phone rang and it was the guy asking for my address. He had had a change of heart and wanted to bring me the car. Not only did he reduce the price of the car, but after I had made 3 payments on the car he called me and told me he wanted to come by and do a bill of sale so I could have the car (no more payments).

Another.. I also had lots of trouble with my young son in school. He has been suspended 3 times for excessive talking, getting out of his seat and being disrespectful. He is now in the third grade. I took him to the doctor one day and saw four disabled kids in the waiting room. Two of them were much older than my son, wearing diapers and in special wheelchairs. It may sound foolish, but, I was thankful that my son is healthy and able to run around to get into trouble. Some of us think we are going through a lot, but we really aren't when you compare your situation to someone else's. Life isn't easy for most people. Be thankful that things are as well as they are.

I have several other examples, but I'll spare you. My point is...we are still living and breathing and whether we realize it or not, things always "work out". I still have that car which is still very reliable and has gotten me where I needed to go. It's not nearly as nice as the car I lost but I was and am still very thankful to you know who for that situation. Hang in there guys.

I used to work with you when your husband was stationed at Offutt. I sure would be interested in hearing from you wherever you are??

A doctors faith
Am thinking of going around town and trying to drum up some more business.  A few questions first!?!  What does a doc think about hiring locally vs. a big transcription co.?  Would he worry about security? or the cost (so many doctors have their office staff type)? What would be my hook or pitch?  Do they just follow the other docs in the building and who they use?  Hmmmm.  Any thoughts would be appreciated!
I love "Hope and Faith".

Yes, it is sad, but people also need to reevaluate their faith. sm

Part of what's sad to me is reading today that many are saying they don't know if they even believe in God now. They were praising him and saying see, God answers prayers! and see, God did a miracle, but when the tide turned, they threw God out.

For those who first said how this was a sign of God answering prayers, maybe they need to ask themselves what about the prayers that were said for the one who was initially reported dead -- were we to believe that God simply did not answer that prayer?

There's a great book that makes you think about these things - When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold Kushner. His child died despite his prayers, and he talks about what God will and will not do.

My heart goes out to all of these folks. I hope they don't let failing of people destroy their faith in God.

Dont loose faith
God is with us always, I know it is hard to realize that but our minds are finite and He is infinite. He can do all things. Enlarge your vision, put all your faith in Him even in the bad times. I know it is hard I have just gone through an extremely hard year myself dealing with anxiety and a mother in deep depression, but He got me through it and is healing me and my mother. Take it day by day and do not loose your faith. He said "Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world."

Sorry do not know what verse that is but I know that it is in the Bible, in the New Testament. Have a blessed day!
I do MT and make about $35-40 an hour. It can be done and is out there. Keep the faith! nm

I'm sorry too. Please have faith. You have lots of experience.

I just think that's a silly reason to not like someone - their religious faith. sm
I don't understand this at all. If we were to go by someone's values, we wouldn't like any of the bedhoppers in Hollywood. It seems to me that that would be the true criteria for deciding whether you like someone or not - not their religion.

Homeless man receives rewards worth $4,000 for honesty
7/25/2006, 9:55 a.m. ET
The Associated Press

DETROIT (AP) — A homeless man is finding out that it pays to be honest.

Charles Moore, who found and turned in nearly $21,000 worth of U.S. savings bonds, has received rewards worth $4,000, The Detroit News reported Tuesday.

Moore, 59, was originally given $100 from the son of the deceased bond owner, but residents here and in other states decided that wasn't enough.

A Belleville man sent him eight trash bags full of returnable bottles and a bowl of coins. Three people pledged a combined $2,500, while two Troy businessmen donated $1,200, a shopping spree at a men's clothing store and a lead on a job.

"I was thankful for it," said Moore, who lost his job in Toledo, Ohio, as a roofer, moved back to his native Michigan and can't find a job.

David C. Smith, of Albuquerque, N.M., gave Moore $1,000. Smith said he and his fiancee wouldn't have thought twice about what to do if the bonds had belonged to them.

"We would have given him the whole amount, period," Smith said. "No questions asked."

Moore said he plans to use the money to find an apartment.

He was searching for returnable bottles in a trash bin when he made the discovery last week. Moore took the bonds to a 24-hour walk-in homeless shelter, where a staffer made some phone calls and tracked down the owner's family.
