If Obama had lost, I doubt there would be threats against his life. On the other hand, had McCain/Palin won, I'm sure there would be plenty of assassination chatter. more like a place for a few reasonable posters from each side and one poster who does not give opinions but responds to nearly every post with a wordy, judgmental, and oftentimes incomprehensible mish-mash of distortions, innuendo, and self-congratulatory statements. Give her a break folks. She always uses the same moniker (except when she is defending her own statement with a different moniker) so she is easy to open/close or skip over.

respectful. I don't care what your political affiliation is. This board has gotten quite foul and I will start banning people from posting if the tone doesn't change. There is nothing wrong with posting in a respectful and kind manner. If you don't like the President, fine, but do not post slurs on this forum about the President and do not post hate America posts. I watched mccain forum
and what I saw was that when asked the question when is someone rich? He was unprepared to answer. He was off his talking points and tried to answer it. To him, one has to make 5 mil a year to be considered rich. He realized quickly what a boner he had made, smiled and said that would become a joke. The joke is how many people still consider repubs to be concerned with anyone but the wealthy. They are it rich; you should be too. If you are not, you are on your own.

How many pubs on this forum and in this nation
being a qualified candidate for VP and ready to step into the highest office in the land? This is not just about Palin. This is about a party who expects to be taken seriously in the Congresss, Senate, 2010 and again in 2012. So far, all we have seen these past 2 days is a GOP collective who cannot abandon the witch hunt and mob stalking of Obama long enough to address their own shortcomings.
The presumption on the part of these folks that they should be taken seriously by anyone except themselves in view of the fact that they can turn a blind eye to this kind of basic deficit in their party and the judgment of their leaders is LUDICROUS.
Palin may not be a front burner issue for much longer, but the shambles that is the republican party will be there for a long time....a very long time, if their own members cannot get off their high horses long enough to take a long, hard look at themselves.

Apparently, you have not read the moderator's post at the top of the Politics forum, which instructs you to keep religious posts where they belong on the Faith forum. The moderator has indicated that religious posts will be removed from the Politics forum and placed on the Faith forum, as they should be. If you have a problem with this, maybe you should discuss it with the moderator.

The term last-worditis describes your actions perfectly. Calling someone a stalker has absolutely no relevance on a public forum where everyone is anonymous. No one knows who you are, no one is calling your home, no one is sitting outside of your house watching every move you make, and no one is following you wherever you go. That is what a stalker does. People who are truly being stalked do everything possible not to draw attention to themselves. You do everything in your power to draw attention to yourself, as exhibited by the sheer number of the messages you post and even your ridiculous "sigh" posts we see all the time. I'm a conservative Republican and I think it's baloney that people who greedily signed their lives away to buy houses they couldn't afford should get a hand out. Their hand out came when they were allowed to ATTEMPT to pay the mortage they contractually agreed to. If they blew it, tough luck. No hand outs for irresponsible behavior.
I agree that if Uncle Sam wants to cut people checks for 75K, it should be for ALL Americans. And I'd be a danged site more resonsible with that money that these greedy homeowner-overreachers would have been.

discourage you. Keep spreading the word. As a previous O supporter, I knew that he was pro-choice. I did not, however, know to what extreme. I simply thought he chose to support Roe v. Wade, as many do. Had it not been for this board, I never would have researched and found out about the FOCA. There are people on this board who can still be won over. Keep on "harping"!!!
The people who are trying to keep religion out of politics are the same ones trying to keep it out of our schools, our money, and ultimately our homes.
