maybe if you say what kind of info you need, dont see a question here
nm
have you ever done this kind of work before? sm
It is quite difficult and very tedious. People talking over one another, sometimes a lot of research on the internet that you would have to do just to find certain studies and authors. Quite frankly, I do not think $50 an audio hour is worth it. That breaks down to about $12/hour +/- $2/hour, depending on how good you are.

On the other hand, he is being quite generous with the pay, because there are transcription services that are paying $25-30/audio hour for the same kind of work!! That breaks down to $7-10/hour! And there are people that will do it!!

That is just my 2 cents
Sure, but what kind of work is left . sm
for straight typing?  VR rejects? 99% ESL and 100% crap?  At this point in time, there doesn't seem to be any reason for the VR MTs to envy the straight typers.
2000 lines per day, what kind of work are you doing? nm
xx
What kind of work types does Level 4 do at
x
Kind of risky to praise the company you work for
because somebody who must have gotten burned at some job will jump on and announce that no company can be that good, so we must be lying! That we're really managers or recruiters.

< Sigh >
Not a lot of work right now; kind of disturbing that they're hiring
..
I am glad I work on VR but what kind of line count
are you trying to get. What do you want to make, $ wise or line wise?
I currently do this kind of work in addition to my medical accounts...sm
The rate seems pretty low, at least compared to what I make, and I can tell you from my experience with this type of work, it is very tedious. Expanders aren't nearly as helpful as in medical transcription, so it's pretty much straight typing. On the other hand it is a nice change of pace from the medical aspect, but for what they want to pay, probably best suited to a newbie.
My information is kind of old, but I used to work for them part time sm
and it was a good company.  The people were great, and they paid on time (weekly).  The pay was rather low, but what I was doing was easy clinic work, so it kind of balanced out.  Good luck!
It depends on who is offering it, and what kind of work is available. If you posted the company sm
name, we could give more helpful advice.
? That's kind of a blanket statement; things are fine on the accts I work on. sm
Yes, it was slow a couple weeks ago but started picking up last week.

PS - Yes, they pay for spaces.
WEBMEDX???? It's a small national, right? Benefits, running out of work, what kind of accounts,

flexible schedule (as in working EVERY weekend mandatory?

Any opinions on the company would be appreciated.  Found some in the archives but all mostly from 2004 and 1 recent post but not much info.  Thanks.

Anyone here work for TRX? Would appreciate any info! sm

I just finished a training session and have everything ready to begin transcribing.  I have searched the archives and did find some posts last year regarding TRX not paying a few ICs.

Can anyone give me any info at all??  I would really appreciate it! TIA!

Anyone work for or have info on....

Good companies to work for?  Do they pay on time?  Have enough work?  Just looking for info.

Thanks,

Does anyone currently work for JLG or have any info? sm
I was told they now have their own platform.  Is it user friendly?  Having just tried the Medrite platform and watched my line count plummet from 300 lph to 150 lph, I am naturally a bit leery about new platforms now.   Is the pay on time?   Any idea as to how much the cost of their insurance for a single plan?  Any information would be appreciated.
Does anyone work for OSI? Would appreciate some info.

Are they a good company to work for?  Do you get paid on time?  Is there a shortage of work?  Any information would be helpful.  thank you.

I don't work for them, but can give some info

I interviewed with them several months ago.  For level 3 acute care, I was offered 10 cpl for IC, 11 cpl over a certain number of lines per week.  For IC, line requirement was 1000 lines per week and seemed that they would be very flexible.  Use your own computer if IC.

I was also offered 8.5 cpl for employee status (with incentives depending on lines per hour worked).  I think they required 20 hours per week and have to keep an average of at least 150 lines per hour (it sounded like they had a time clock system).  They provide the computer if employee status.

Everyone I spoke to was very nice, especially the recruiter.  I turned the offer down due to reasons not relating to the company in particular.  They did tell me that they had a lot of ESL (the test consisted of all ESL), but I don't know if this would apply to ER.  Hope this helps.

Anyone work for Spheris? Would appreciate any info

But....who do you work for? Or did you not want to divulge that info?
Sounds like a good deal, but you didn't mention for whom you work. Not sure if that was intentional or you just forgot (I spazz and forget stuff all the time so just double-checking, in case you intended to name them).

already did that and mostly info about pay and lack of work

How is Wedmedx to work for and pay rate?? Thanks for info

Just curious..

I don't work there but info that I have received includes ... SM

I don't know if they have clinic work.  However, if you are an experienced MT, I would think that they would hire you even if you don't do ops.  They use Doc-Q-Scribe (sp?) for at least one of their big hospital accounts out of Atlanta.  They offer benefits, but I have heard that the health insurance is very expensive.  I would imagine that they are hiring.

I used to work for the owner years ago when she had another service, and she had the same right-hand man (er, lady LOL) as she does now.  They were always very good to me, and I really wish I still worked for her though I have a good job now somewhere else.

Good luck, and I hope this helps somewhat. Post back and let us know how it goes.

No recent info on Execuscribe, anyone work for them, is there pay any good?

Thinking on a career move, going with them FT, but would not like to waste time testing if pay is lousy.  14+ years with acute care.

Thanks so much in advance!

Does anyone have any info on whether InterPro is good company to work for?

I am trying to decide between them and an acute care smaller company.  Does anybody know if they are a good company?

I wonder if you would be kind enough to tell me......
exactly what constitutes "good reason" for my home phone number to be given out to anyone by Lee as it was?

I'm sorry. I went to work and then had to come back to ask this question. I even looked up *confidentiality* in my Webster's trying to find the loopholes.

Thank you.
She was very kind
and all, but Lee or someone should know that she is misrepresenting herself. She should know that it's OK to say, "I am new to Keystrokes and feel that this is a great company to work for" instead of lying and saying "I have worked for Keystrokes for X amount of years and they are great" when she had only been working there a few days. There is no need to lie to people.
I am using one, but it must be the right kind
At some point, and I think it was when I installed Express Scribe, I could configure my footpedal. Try to do it, and if it won't let you - then you don't have the right kind of footpedal (it's either 9 or 13 pins, I can't remember which).
