While I don't believe that wives working is
wrong, I do think the original plan was for us to be homemakers and to take care of our families while the husband did the providing. It hasn't worked that way at my house (LOL) too much, but that's okay, too. My husband and I both work and contribute to the needs of our home. We have 2 grown children and they turned out okay. You can be a good mother even if you have to work outside the home. You just miss a lot that way.

If an MT is so concerned that she is being cheated out of money, she needs to be proactive and figure out how to verify line counts. I either use Word or an old version of MPCount that I downloaded off the Internet for free. It was my experience that nearly every company I ever worked for was right on or even paid a bit more than my line counts indicated. (Except for ONE company and we all know which one that is!)

My sons are born again too and their wives can't leave the house, home school the kids, no tv,
and if my DIL wanted to work, it is out of the question. One of my sons just believes in having babies and having babies. They now have 5. I divorced his dad and apparently his dad taught them this is the American way. I just feel so bad for both my sons' wives. They both are born again and both live their life that way.
I have consistently made in the upper $40s to mid $50s in this business.
I have not been chained to the computer. I have even worked just 3 days a week to make that. Long days, mind you, but still only 3 days a week.

I have a talent and great aptitude for this work. I also am fiercely protective of my work time/environment. I work very hard while I'm working. Thus, I do not have to work more than 40 hours a week.
